ROYAL Theatre Company is a non-profit organization located in the heart of Mason, Ohio that focuses on empowering youth, enriching the artistic community, and providing educational opportunities that promote a lifelong love of the performing arts. At ROYAL Theatre Company, we strive to create a space where creativity flourishes, collaboration is celebrated, and everyone is encouraged to express their authentic selves. Since our establishment in 2003, our productions have grown from cardboard sets and felt costumes, to large-scale and state of the art theatrical productions.
We are excited to announce our upcoming production of Disney’s Newsies that is on track to be our biggest and most exciting show with dynamic staging and strong performance!
Disney’s Newsies is a true David and Goliath story that will remind us of the importance of supporting one another, standing up for fairness, and holding onto loyal relationships. This show is truly meant for all ages with its relatable story, sense of adventure, and heartwarming characters. Disney’s Newsies has a cast of 80 ambitious performers ages ranging from 6 to adults who come from all around Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, and Dayton. With a highly technical set featuring two 14 foot rolling towers, this production brings the story of the 1899 Newsboys Strike to life through powerful music, athletic choreography and high-energy storytelling. ROYAL Theatre Company is known for producing shows at a high level both artistically and technically. As with all ROYAL Theatre productions, Disney’s Newsies is staffed with a top-quality director and choreographer working alongside a full professional production team and crew. This musical production is packed full of high energy dancing and overall amazing entertainment!
