Auditions Announced for THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE at Cincinnati Music Theatre

CMT invites you to audition for the 2025- 2026 Studio Series production of THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE. This is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by William Finn, with a book written by Rachel Sheinkin, created by Rebecca Feldman with additional material by Jay Reiss. .

The show centers on a fictional spelling bee set in a geographically ambiguous Putnam Valley Middle School, some students being from various elementary schools. These six quirky adolescents compete in the Bee, run by three equally quirky grown-ups. Originally produced in 2005, it has enjoyed success in touring and international productions, and is currently being mounted Off-Broadway.

This production staff is committed to bringing together a diverse group of people. We encourage performers of all races, ethnicities, gender identities, sexualities, abilities, body types, and ages (18+) to audition.

Seeking (4-5) Male Presenting and (4-5) Female Presenting actors who sing well with comedic improvisational skills and can move well.

The Walnut Hills High School Theatre Department Presents SHE LOVES ME

Dear Friend, Join Walnut Hills High School for a Night Full of Romance and Comedy at SHE LOVES ME

Cincinnati, OH-The Walnut Hills High School Theatre Department is thrilled to be welcoming you to their Senior High Musical, She Loves Me.  The show runs November 13-15th  and 20-22nd at 7pm; with matinees on November 15th and 22nd at 2pm. All performances take place in the Rick Steiner Black Box Theatre.

Fall in love with this charming romantic comedy that inspired the hit film You’ve Got Mail! Set in a 1930s European parfumerie, She Loves Me follows two feuding shop clerks who, unbeknownst to them, are each other’s anonymous pen pals through a lonely-hearts club. With its witty dialogue, heartwarming story, and timeless songs like “Vanilla Ice Cream” and “Dear Friend,” She Loves Me is a delightful reminder that love often blossoms in unexpected places.

The show also features a set design “in the round” in the intimate setting of the Rick Steiner Black Box Theater- creating a unique, cozy, and intimate theatrical experience!

Mason Players’ to Present THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE

Don’t forget that Mason Community Players’ Fall Show, THE HAUNTING OF HILL HOUSE opens on Halloween Night!

This is the perfect show for the spooky season!

Dr. Montague (Bob Brunner) would like nothing more than to prove the existence of the paranormal. He has publicized an invitation for others who share his interest to join him at Hill House, a manor rumored to be haunted. Eleanor Vance (Brittany Quist) and Theodora (Briana Kennedy) take him up on his invitation and they set out to prove that there is more to our world than what we suppose. Caught up in the investigation are Housekeeper Mrs. Dudley (Ursula Biron), the owner of the manor, Luke Sanderson (Jeremy Boyd), Mrs. Montague (Melissa Trinidad), and her friend Arthur (Richard Rees).

What will this intrepid band discover? Does the paranormal exist? You’ll have to attend a performance to find out!

Performances are October 31st, November 1st, 6th, 7th, and 8th at 8pm and November 2nd at 2pm. All performances are at the Mason Community Playhouse, 5529 Mason Road in Mason.

Charles and Ruth Condomine host a seance, being led by the local medium, Madame Arcati and attended by their friends, Dr and Mrs Bradman. Hoping to learn some tricks of the trade for an upcoming novel, Charles is surprised to learn that Madame Arcati actually successfully brings the spirit of his first wife, Elvira, into existence. Only able to be seen and heard by Charles, Elvira conspires to rid him of Ruth and keep Charles to herself! This classic Noel Coward comedy has been delighting audiences since 1941.

One of the greatest American plays of all time and winner of the 1953 Tony Award for Best Play, this heart-pounding drama is both a gripping historical play and a timely parable of our contemporary society.
