FIDDLER ON THE ROOF Runs July 23-27

FIDDLER ON THE ROOF

Music Hall [Over-the-Rhine]

Tevye, a poor milkman, lives with his wife Golde, and their five daughters. He wants what all parents want for their children: a better life. One after the other, Tevye’s daughters stray from tradition. They risk their futures with husbands of their own choice, doing that pesky thing people do called following their hearts. Winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, Fiddler on the Roof features timeless songs like “Matchmaker, Matchmaker,” “Sunrise, Sunset,” “If I Were a Rich Man,” and a universal story of family, love, and tradition. Sung in English with projected lyrics.

THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG Runs July 18-Aug. 10

THE PLAY THAT GOES WRONG
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
July 18-Aug. 10
[Over-the-Rhine]

Directed by Brian Isaac Phillips

Cast: Billy Chace as Robert/Thomas Colleymoore, Montez Jenkins Copeland as John/Charles Haversham, Cary Davenport as Dennis/Perkins, Jeremy Dubin as Chris/Inspector Carter, Jared Earland as Crew Dude, Candice Handy as Annie, Matthew Lewis Johnson as Max/Cecil Haversham, Sylvester Little Jr. as Trevor & Kelly Mengelkoch as Sandra/Florence Calleymoore

It’s Opening Night at the Cornley Drama Society’s newest production, The Murder at Haversham Manor and the stakes have never been higher. But none of the on-stage drama is in the script! The theater is filled with accident-prone actors, a corpse that can’t play dead to save his life, and a knocked-out knock out of a leading lady. When all goes wrong, can this theater company make it to Opening Night and bring down the house (in a good way)? This fantastic, farcical, fiasco of a show and Off-Broadway and West End comedic hit is back and the age-old adage is true: “the show must go wrong!” oops sorry, we mean “the show must go on!”
