Enjoy a stretch outside your comfort zone? Imagine acting ON STAGE??? The Yellow Springs Theater Company is staging plays during the Ten Minute Play Festival in Yellow Springs, Ohio, on June 2 and 3, 2023.
Like to get involved and step into someone elses’s shoes? Then join me to audition for an open casting of “Face Me” by Debra Williamson — a one-act comedic play where stretching yourself and saying “Yes” leads several women to see themselves in a different light.
Open to all actors! Cold readings will be done from script.
We are looking to fill five roles in “Face Me” — (4 women and 1 person of any gender). Women’s roles range in age from 40-80; other person from 35-50)
Roles listed below:
- BRYN: Early 50’s; instructor for About Face class. RACHEL: 40-50; personal trainer.
- JERI: Late 60’s; visual artist.
- DIEDRE: 70-80; retired.
- SALEM: Late 40’s; college student.

The Ghostlight Stage Company is seeking a pianist to accompany teen musical theater performers for 2 hours during their educational event, “Musical Theater Audition Workshop”. The workshop will take place at ARCO Cincy in Price Hill on June 17, 2023 from 1pm until 4pm. Accompaniment would only be needed from 1:30pm-3:30pm.
Preble Players presents “On Golden Pond” by Ernest Thompson on Saturday, June 3rd, and Sunday, June 4th at 2:00 pm. Directed by Bonnie Bertelson, this warm and witty American classic is staged outdoors, surrounded by nature, using the pond at Camp Mahanaim in New Paris, Ohio as a backdrop.
