Auditions Announced for THE LAST FIVE YEARS at Mason Community Players

MCP_sm logoDirector Jason Gonzalez and Producer Jim Cronin are excited to invite performers to audition for the critically acclaimed THE LAST FIVE YEARS, to be presented November 11-13 and 17-20.

Auditions will be held at the Mason Community Playhouse at the following times:

  • Saturday, August 27th, from 1pm to 4pm
  • Sunday, August 28th, from 2pm to 5pm
  • Monday August 29th from 7pm to 10pm

Auditioners are asked to fill out an electronic form and upload a copy of their resume.

There will be an accompanist present at the audition to assist with the vocal portion of the audition.

Please do not prepare works of Jason Robert Brown as your audition piece.

Auditioners will also be reading from the script as a part of the process.

SHE KILLS MONSTERS tells the story of Agnes Evans as she leaves her childhood home in Ohio following the death of her teenage sister, Tilly. When Agnes finds Tilly’s Dungeons & Dragons notebook, however, she finds herself catapulted into a journey of discovery and action-packed adventure in the imaginary world that was her sister’s refuge. In this high-octane dramatic comedy laden with homicidal fairies, nasty ogres, and 90s pop culture, acclaimed playwright Qui Nguyen offers a heart-pounding homage to the geek and warrior within us all.

Auditions Announced for FAMILY at Cincinnati Men’s Chorus

CMC_logoAre you interested in singing with the Cincinnati Men’s Chorus? We are looking for some new faces to join us for our upcoming 32nd season! The CMC is open to all individuals who identify as male whether gay, bisexual, transgender or straight allies to want to sing together.

Auditions for FAMILY will be held Wednesday, September 7th & September 14th from 6:00-7:00pm at St. John’s UUC in Clifton. FAMILY is the CMC’s annual holiday concert and will be December 3-4, 2022, at Memorial Hall in downtown Cincinnati.

Rehearsals are every Wednesday evening from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. for each concert period in Clifton. Additional rehearsals will be November 4-6, 2022 during our annual retreat and the Thursday and Friday prior to our concert.

If you are interested, please send an email to membership@cincinnatimenschorus.org to schedule an audition.

If there are any time constraints or issues, please advise of these as soon as possible and they will be taken into consideration for scheduling your audition time slot. If multiple people are interested in auditioning beyond the timeframe we have currently allotted, we may open up additional dates/times.

Auditions Announced for House Teams and HOT MIC at Improv Cincinnati

IC_logoImprov Cincinnati is looking for new performers for our house teams and musical improv group HOT MIC. If you have improv training and experience, we want you to sign up for auditions!

Improv Cincinnati believes that our students should be provided the skills to perform, the opportunities to try, and the freedom to fail. We strive to guarantee all graduates have the privilege to join a practice team. Our house teams are comprised of those performers who display a high level of confidence and a proficiency with their improv skills. If you do not make a house team, we encourage you to continue developing your skills on a practice team.

All those auditioning must have experience and/or training in the harold. Thank you for auditioning — good luck!
