Cincinnati, Ohio—Cincinnati Opera continues its popular Opera Raps series with two events in May and June. These informative and entertaining events feature guest artists and opera experts on topics related to Cincinnati Opera’s 2022 Summer Festival.

Opera Rap: 2022 Season Preview
Wednesday, May 25, 2022; 7 p.m.

Evans Mirageas, The Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, leads a lively preview of Cincinnati Opera’s 2022 Summer Festival. Joining Evans will be singers performing excerpts from La Bohème, The Pirates of Penzance, and Aida, as well as the company’s upcoming world premiere operas Fierce and Castor and Patience.

Opera Rap: Creators Forum—Meet the Minds Behind the Masterpieces!

This summer, Cincinnati Opera presents two world premiere operas: William Menefield and Sheila Williams’s Fierce and Gregory Spears and Tracy K. Smith’s Castor and Patience. Evans Mirageas, The Harry T. Wilks Artistic Director of Cincinnati Opera, will lead a panel discussion with both operas’ creative teams, who will share the stories behind their new works, and the communities and partners who inspired them.
