2021 Season Update from Merit Theatre Company

MTC_logoMerit Theatre Company & Orchestra plans to present the play 12 ANGRY MEN August 2021 and the concert “A Christmas Celebration” December 2021.

As we continue to monitor the COVID-19 situation and mandates for the performing arts, we will release further details in coming weeks. We can’t wait to see you again!

Auditions for 12 ANGRY MEN, the play based on Reginald Rose’s award-winning film, will be held in June. Look for an audition announcement soon.

A 19-year-old man has just stood trial for the fatal stabbing of his father. It looks like an open-and-shut case—until one of the jurors begins opening the others’ eyes to the facts. Tempers get short, arguments grow heated, and the jurors become 12 angry men. How they reach their final verdict will keep you on the edge of your seat. “This is a remarkable thing about democracy,” says one juror, “that we are notified by mail to come down to this place—and decide on the guilt or innocence of a person; of a man or woman we have not known before.”

12 ANGRY MEN produced by special arrangement with the Dramatic Publishing Company of Woodstock, Illinois.

“A Christmas Celebration” returns December 2021! Featuring songs of the season & traditional favorites with our dazzling orchestra, the Merit Company Chorale, and children’s choir. Join us for this festive, heartwarming event to sing in the season with beautiful and beloved songs and carols like “O Holy Night,” “Christmas Time is Here,” music by Michael W. Smith & Kenny G, and much more.

License for “A Christmas Celebration” granted by the American Society of Composers, Authors, and Publishers located at 2 Music Square W; Nashville, TN 37203.
