4/9/20 – Due the extended Shelter in Place order that has gone into effect, the TCT board of directors has made the difficult decision to postpone the spring production of THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS. The new performance dates are expected to be August 7-9 & 14-16, 2020.

All 2019-20 season ticket holders will be able to see the show using their original tickets from the corresponding May date. If you are unable to attend the corresponding date, please contact the box office at 937-339-7700 to arrange for tickets to another performance.

Stay safe. Stay healthy. We will be back to entertain soon! 🎭

The Troy Civic Theatre board of directors has decided to postpone the production of THE HALLELUJAH GIRLS. We are hoping to only move it by two weeks but exact dates are yet to be determined.

N95 Mask Collection Headed by Acting Up Member

ACTUP-logoHello all,

We hope this email finds you well!  One of Acting Up’s set build volunteers is the President of the Cincinnati Woodworking Club, and has organized an N95 mask collection for local hospitals currently facing a shortage due to the pandemic.  Acting Up keeps N95 masks in our shop, which we will be donating, and is hoping some other area theaters may also have masks to donate!

Please see the note below from the Cincinnati Woodworking Club, and note the drop-off points around town.  If you have masks, but cannot get them to a drop-off location, please email Acting Up at ActingUp@ActingUp.com:

The Cincinnati area hospital systems are in desperate need of supplies to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. http://www.hamiltoncountyohioema.org/donations-needed-during-covid-19/

As a club, we want to help by donating any N95 masks that you might have.  Open, but unused, or new boxes of masks are being accepted.   They will be UV sterilized prior to use.   We have set up a few neighborhood collection points.  Please drop off your supplies prior to Thursday evening.   Each donation will have a box outside — you do not need to contact anyone at the home.

The following are the collection points:

John Libbert  SE
5565 Wild Rose Ln. Milford, 45150. Front porch is covered and a box will be on one of the chairs near the front door.

Herb Retzsch  Northwest group.
6321 Anthony Drive, Hamilton, OH 45011.  Box will be on the front porch.

Larry Saupe SE

THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK Rescheduled at SSCC Theatre

SSCC_logoFirst, we’d like to thank all our patrons, cast and crew members, and the whole SSCC Theatre family for your incredible patience during this time.

We have been receiving questions on our policy regarding the ongoing novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) Pandemic and what it means for “The Diary of Anne Frank” and the “Let Me Be Myself” exhibit.

Closely working with the college, and in conjunction with our production team, we’ve made the decision to reschedule the production to May 22 – 24. This will ideally allow the world to get back to normal and get our cast and crew back into rehearsals. This, of course, is subject to change depending on national and state decisions.

For those who have already purchased tickets, your seats have been moved to the May dates. For those unable to attend in May, we understand entirely. Please email us at pr@sscctheatre.com with a request (including your name and order number) for a refund and we’ll get you taken care of. General ticket sales will resume on April 22.

We’re also working closely with the Anne Frank House and the “Let Me Be Myself” exhibit team to reschedule, and hope to have new dates announced soon.

For further updates on the production, exhibit, and any additional news, please keep an eye on SSCCTheatre.com

Season Update from Middletown Lyric Theatre

MLT_logoSeason Update due to Coronavirus:

As we write this, we could have never imagined being at a place where the “trickle-down” effect would be in full motion. Recently we canceled our production of TWELFTH NIGHT. With the financial loss of that show, it set in motion the uncertainty of being able to produce the next show, THE IMPORTANCE OF BEING EARNEST.

So by the time two shows have been canceled and or postponed there is no hope for a musical and so IT SHOULDA BEEN YOU is but a dream.

While needing to cancel one show can be horrible the need to cancel half your season is mind-numbing. As we locked the doors to MLT we had a lot on our minds and at the forefront was, when will we open those doors again?

We believe, we hope, that Middletown and those that have always supported this organization will do whatever needs to be done, to ensure that the doors re-open on the 42nd. Season. There are still decisions to be made and we will keep you updated.

If you are a SEASON TICKET holder we will soon be sending you a letter explaining all of your options. In the meantime, if you have any questions and or comments please do not hesitate to contact us.

We thank you all for your patience and understanding through this difficult time. We hope that you are healthy and we see you once this is all over.
