The year is 1968 and Judy Garland is set firmly on the comeback trail. The failed marriages, the suicide attempts, and the addictions are all behind her. At forty-six and with new flame Mickey Deans at her side, she seems determined to carry it off and recapture her magic. But lasting happiness always eludes some people, and there was never any answer to the question with which Judy ended every show: “If happy little bluebirds fly beyond the rainbow, why, oh why, can’t I?”

END OF THE RAINBOW is a savagely funny drama featuring a glorious ensemble of Judy Garland hits such as “Get Happy,” “The Man that Got Away,” and, of course, “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

Robert was a gifted, ground-breaking professor, but as he lost his sanity, he lost his ability to work with numbers. Having inherited Robert’s talent for numbers brings Catherine to worry about the future of her own mental health. With her sister Claire in town for the funeral and her father’s previous grad student Hal going through Robert’s papers, Catherine brings forward a ground-breaking math proof that could change the field. But who wrote it: the brilliant professor during his 9 months of lucidity or his daughter, who dropped out of her math program during her undergrad? PROOF is a story of family, friendship, trust, love, and mental health.

(CINCINNATI, Feb. 5, 2020) – Xavier University Theatre will add a matinee performance of Heathers: The Musical at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 9. All other remaining performances of the show are currently sold out. Veronica Sawyer is a brainy, beautiful misfit who hustles her way into the most powerful and ruthless clique at Westerberg High School. But before she has time to get comfortable atop the teenage food chain, Veronica falls in love with the dangerously sexy new kid, J.D. When the almighty Heather Chandler kicks her out of their group, Veronica decides to bite the bullet and kiss Heather’s aerobicized ass … until J.D. suggests a more sinister plan for that bullet. Written by Laurence O’Keefe and Kevin Murphy and based on the 1989 cult classic movie starring Winona Ryder and Christian Slater, Heathers is a hilarious, heartfelt, and homicidal show based on one of the all-time great teen comedies.
