Directed by Nicole SueAnn Wallace
Cast: Rachel Smith as Catherine, Steve Dietrich as Robert, T.J Montgomery as Hal & Sarah Caplan as Claire
Catherine, the daughter of an esteemed mathematician, has just lost her father, who died after suffering from a prolonged mental illness. Robert was a gifted, ground-breaking professor, but as he lost his sanity, he lost his ability to work with numbers. Having inherited Robert’s talent for numbers brings Catherine to worry about the future of her own mental health. With her sister Claire in town for the funeral and her father’s previous grad student Hal going through Robert’s papers, Catherine brings forward a ground-breaking math proof that could change the field. But who wrote it: the brilliant professor during his 9 months of lucidity or his daughter, who dropped out of her math program during her undergrad? PROOF is a story of family, friendship, trust, love, and mental health.
