DIRTY ROTTEN SCOUNDRELS, based on the popular 1988 film of the same name, takes us to the French Riviera for high jinks and hilarity. Lawrence Jameson and Freddy Benson are two con men attempting to con women in the same small French town, but the town isn’t big enough for the two of them. Produced by Betsy Bossart & Patrick Kramer

Cast: Heather Abbott as Evelyn, Cathy Ross as Lila, Aimée Ward as Candace Metzger, Evan Blanton as Toby Fleming, Chuck Ingram as Fred Disalvo, Chessie Vigran as Roberta Burke & Robert Weidle as Mr. Atwood

When a complaint is filed against one of the 70,000 teachers in New York’s public schools, they’re sent to a Reassignment Center, one of a series of empty offices in the Department of Education Building. There, they sit and wait for their case to be reviewed. Usually for months. Sometimes for over a year. A claim of improper behavior by a failing student lands Evelyn Reid in “the rubber room,” where she encounters a group of teachers, some guilty, some not, who have long since lost any hope of returning to a classroom. Over the course of the school year, these colleagues form an unlikely alliance, reminding each other of forgotten passions, emerging to face life outside in unexpected new directions. They also learn French and workshop a screenplay.

Cast Announced for IN THE NIGHT TIME (BEFORE THE SUN RISES) at Know Theatre

ktc_logoGet to Know the faces about to bring to life the US premiere of IN THE NIGHT TIME (BEFORE THE SUN RISES) this January:

You may recognize the faces of these two amazing actors from a little-known show called PUFFS!

Guest Director Brant Russell was immediately drawn to their versatility and the natural chemistry they have built on and off stage during the run of PUFFS – which will come in handy as they dig deep into this stunning new dramatic work about a young couple confronting the brokenness of our modern world over the course of one long, sleepless night with their newborn baby.

KTC_Elizabeth MolloyElizabeth Chin Molloy returns to the Know as Woman. Elizabeth previously appeared on the Know MainStage in Mercury and SuperTrue; and you may also have caught her work in Serials!, Cincy Fringe, and various play readings in the Know Underground. This time she takes on the challenging role of a mother in the hazy hours of the night time, grappling with some of our time’s most pressing moral conundrums. Is it ethical or right to bring a child into our modern world?

KTC_Brandon BurtonJoining Elizabeth once again is Brandon Burton as Man: Currently onstage as math magician Oliver Rivers in Puffs, you might remember him as the hilarious Castle Guard in Marian, or The True Tale of Robin Hood and Islington & Lord Rat Speaker in Neil Gaiman’s Neverwhere. This time, he tackles the gritty and emotional role of a new father  grown delirious as he and his wife desperately attempt to get their newborn to sleep.

The US Premiere of IN THE NIGHT TIME (BEFORE THE SUN RISES) runs January 17th- February 8th, and is a tale for anyone who has ever wondered if they’re on the right path – and if there is light at the end of a long, dark night.Reserve your tickets for this explosive new drama here.
