EVERY CHRISTMAS STORY EVER TOLD (AND THEN SOME!)
Cincinnati Shakespeare Company
Dec. 21-31
Over-the-Rhine

Directed by Jeremy Dubin

Cast: Justin McCombs, Billy Chace, Miranda McGee & Maggie Lou Rader

CSC’s holiday smash hit is back—bigger and better than ever! What begins as a traditional production of A Christmas Carol soon devolves into a slightly irreverent, but undeniably adoring look at all our pop culture Christmas faves, including Rudolph, Frosty, and good ol’ Charlie Brown. Three actors (with the help of a slightly tipsy Santa) lampoon everything from Dickens to Dr. Seuss in 90 minutes of high-octane jollity and frivolity.

Performances before Christmas have SOLD OUT and Standing Room Tickets are now available.  Standing Room is located in the Upper Gallery.

  • Thu-Fri, Dec. 21-22 at 7:30pm
  • Sat, Dec. 23 at 2pm & 7:30pm
  • Wed-Fri, Dec. 27-29 at 7:30pm
  • Sat-Sun, Dec. 30-31 at 2pm & 7:30pm

Auditions Announced for DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE at SSCC Theatre

SSCC_logoRescheduled from Jan. 12 due to inclement weather.

SSCC Theatre is pleased to announce their upcoming auditions for the spring production of DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE, by Sarah Ruhl.

An incessantly ringing cell phone in a quiet café. A stranger at the next table who has had enough. And a dead man – with a lot of loose ends. So begins DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE, a work about how we memorialize the dead – and how that remembering changes us – it is the odyssey of a woman forced to confront her own assumptions about morality, redemption, and the need to connect in a technologically obsessed world.

Auditions, open to community members and students, will be held on Friday, January 19 at 6:30 p.m. in The Edward K. Daniels Auditorium at the Central Campus of Southern State Community College, in Hillsboro, OH. Those interested in auditioning should prepare and memorize a comedic one to two-minute monologue. Those interested on working in available crew positions will be asked to complete an interview the night of auditions. If you’re interested in auditioning, but unavailable to attend the audition date, please contact Rainee Angles (rangles@sscc.edu) to schedule an alternate audition date prior to January 12.

DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE directed by Rainee Angles, will be performed April 6 – 8. For more information about DEAD MAN’S CELL PHONE available roles, and a rehearsal schedule, please visit www.sscctheatre.com.
