CINCINNATI, OH – April 24, 2017 — Sunset Players is proud to present the regional premiere of The Savannah Sipping Society by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope and Jamie Wooten and directed by Don Frimming at the Arts Center at Dunham (1945 Dunham Way, Cincinnati, OH 45238).
Presented through special arrangements with Dramatics Play Service Inc., The Savannah Sipping Society centers on four Southern women, played by Cathy Woodruff, Marcia Grant, Dawn Lindsey and Carrie Mees, who need to escape the sameness of their day-to-day routines. The women are drawn together by Fate—and an impromptu happy hour—and decide it is high time to reclaim the enthusiasm for life they’ve lost through the years. Over the course of six months filled with laughter, hilarious misadventures and the occasional liquid refreshment, these middle-aged women successfully bond and find the confidence to jumpstart their new lives.
Performance dates are May 5, 6, 12, 13, 14, 18, 19 & 20. All shows are at 8 PM, except Thursday at 7:30 PM and Sunday at 3 PM. Cincinnati State’s Interpreter Training Program will provide sign language interpreting for the deaf community on Saturday, May 13.
Tickets are $14 general admission or $12 for seniors, students or groups of 10 or more and can be purchased online at the Sunset Players website (www.sunsetplayers.org) or at the door. Tickets can also be reserved by calling 513-588-4988.
