CINCINNATI, OH – July 26, 2016 — The Arts Center at Dunham (1945 Dunham Way Cincinnati, OH) is hosting Cincinnati Shakespeare Company (CSC) family-friendly performance of Romeo and Juliet on Saturday, August 13 at 2:00 pm.
One of the most beloved romantic tragedies in Shakespeare’s canon, Romeo and Juliet is the tale of the Bard’s star-crossed lovers. Romeo and Juliet fall instantly in love only to discover they come from feuding families. In defiance of their families, amidst the animosity of friends, and in concealment from their mentors, a young couple risk everything to be together. Directed by Jeremy Dubin, CSC presents a modern production of Romeo and Juliet set in a superhero costume ball for the Capulets’ party where Juliet meets Romeo for the first time. The show is suitable for children and families of all ages and are under 2 hours. This production of Romeo and Juliet prove its continued relevance in the lives of the young and old alike.
Admission to Cincinnati Shakespeare Company’s Shakespeare in the Park Tour is free. Reservations are not required but can be made online at www.sunsetplayers.org. Arriving early is recommended for best seating.
Prior to the performance at 1:30 pm and immediately following the performance, local author Bob Hostetler will host a book launch party for his latest work The Bard and the Bible (A Shakespeare Devotional). The Bard and the Bible pairs 365 short passages from each of the two greatest works of English literature ever created. Compiled in the same time period and in the same city, the two possess striking similarities and revealing contrasts and yield intellectual stimulation and spiritual inspiration.

About the Arts Center at Dunham
The Arts Center at Dunham is a fine arts center for the west side of Cincinnati. Housed in one of the three remaining buildings of what was the first municipally owned tuberculosis sanatorium in the United States, the Arts Center includes a 350-seat performance venue as well as extensive studio and programming space.
