Auditions Announced for ALICE at InBocca Performance

IBP_logoAnnouncing auditions for InBocca Performance’s winter production, ALICE. That’s right, we’re creating our own creepy, crazy rendition of one of the world’s most beloved children’s tales, Alice in Wonderland, as directed by MANDIE REIBER!

Auditions will be Saturday, August 27th from 9am-12noon at NKU. Studio room TBA.

We are looking for the following:

  • comic actors
  • dancers (all styles welcome!)
  • dramatic actors
  • circus performers/gymnasts (aerialists would be GREAT)
  • singers
  • MEN and WOMEN, BOTH

If you are auditioning for a dancing role, please prepare a short routine that highlights your ability (all styles welcome, no need to exceed one minute). If you dance en pointe, please be prepared to demonstrate a pointe combination. Bring music on a phone or iPod so we can plug it into the speaker with an aux cord.

Our productions tend to include a LOT of movement, dance, and music, as well as rich story-telling. Please come prepared to move–no monologue or song is necessary. Also, if you have any special tricks up your sleeve (professional hula hooper, card magic, tumbling, spontaneous combustion… Yikes!) absolutely be prepared to strut your stuff.

The performances of this production will take place in early January, location and exact dates TBA.

Rehearsals typically take place 3 days a week (two for ensemble, one on Saturdays for dancers) and will be based around actors’ schedule conflicts.

If you would like to be a part of this production but cannot attend auditions, please email us at:info@inboccaperformance.com.

N.B.: Please no actors under the age of 15. If you are under 15 and still are eager to audition, please contact us.

See you in Wonderland!
