Cast Announced for I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE at The Drama Workshop

TDW_VERTThe Drama Workshop is pleased to announce the cast of their production of I LOVE YOU, YOU’RE PERFECT, NOW CHANGE.

Jody Hart, Jennifer Keith Richardson and Annie Huey will play the women’s roles. Jim Curtis, Evan Blanton and Kevin Breslin will play the men’s roles. The musical, with book and lyrics by Joe DiPietro and music by Jimmy Roberts, will be directed by Linda Abbott and produced by Dennis Murphy and Elaine Volker.

It will run from September 11 to September 27 at the Glenmore Playhouse.

A big welcome to returning and new members of The Drama Workshop family.

Actors Needed for THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD at Beechmont Players

BPI_logoBeechmont Players is in need of several male actors for its summer, family-friendly production of THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD. An additional audition has been set:

7 – 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, May 27
Anderson Center Station: 7832 Five Mile Road (bus stop south of/up the hill from the Anderson Center)

BPI is in need of male actors to fill the following roles:

  • Friar Tuck: 30s-40s-a bit portly would be good. He will also play an Evil Lord and a Peasant. A somewhat shady character.
  • Little John: 20s-30s. He also plays a peasant. A member of the Merry Men and good with a quarter staff.
  • William Church: Part of the Merry Men
  • Daniel Boyle: Part of the Merry Men
  • Nathaniel Piper: Part of the Merry Men
  • Finn Lucky: A Sheriff’s soldier
  • Tobias: A Sheriff’s soldier
  • Much the Miller’s Son/Madge the Miller’s Daughter: no age requirement. A little drag going on here.
  • Edward of Locksley: 40s-50s. He is the father of all of the Robins. Also plays Lord Duncan and a Townsman.

Back from the Crusades, King Richard sifts through conflicting stories to figure out what happened in his absence. Told from the testimony of Robin himself, Maid Marian and Prince John, this family-friendly comedy combines three different stories into one hilarious trial.

THE TRIALS OF ROBIN HOOD will run August 7 – 15, 2015, at the Anderson Center Theatre.

NET Announces Season 18 Auditions and Interviews

NETCINCINNATI, OH – May 21, 2015 – The season will open with Terrence McNally’s Frankie and Johnny in the Clair de Lune and will continue with The Santaland Diaries by Joe Mantello based on the writings of David Sedaris and The Shape of Things by Neil LaBute. “These plays are about how people see the world and how each person’s view can affect another’s,” says Producing Artistic Director Jim Stump. “Our perceptions of our world are constantly evolving. And more often than not, it’s the people in our lives who change them … for better or for worse.”

In addition to their regular season, New Edgecliff Theatre will also produce their annual Sweet Suspense Radio Drama Fundraiser this year featuring the classic suspense story of Strangers on a Train. This special performance directed by New Edgecliff Theatre’s Artistic Associate Bob Allen will feature live sound effects from Radio Heritage’s Mike Martini and special dessert buffet.

New Edgecliff Theatre will be holding season auditions for these shows Monday June 8 and Tuesday June 9 from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Dramakinetics studios at 4222 Hamilton Avenue in Northside.

A love triangle gone wrong, this rock musical straight from New York centers on Sara, an Upper West Sider who seems to have it all, but whose downtown past lingers enticingly and dangerously in front of her. From the minute the Narrator presents a bat and proclaims that one of the lovers will die, we are propelled toward the inevitable doom in this all too familiar story of sex, compromises, betrayal, and deceit. Get immersed in the dive bar scene as you enter King’s Club, listen to the rock and blues play, and sense the passion of a story of “true love gone awry.”
