THREE DAYS OF RAIN, Time Traveling Drama Storms onto the Unteathered Theater Stage

UTC_Three Days of Rain logoThree childhood friends reunite after a family tragedy only to discover a mystery inside a weathered journal. Walker, Nan and their childhood friend Pip meet for reading of their father’s will, where an unexpected bequeathment triggers a rift in their friendship. Richard Greenburg’s Pulitzer Prize nominated play takes patrons back in time to explore the motives behind decisions in the past and how they impact the present. The trio are the offspring of the most important architects of modern times. On a fateful day they find themselves with a newly discovered journal which takes them back in time to the Greenwich Village in the early 1960s. The journal opens a door for the children to sort out the mystery behind their lives, loves and losses.

Page by page and under the direction of Leah Strasser and Buz Davis, the friends come to understand some things about their past are far different than anything they ever believed. As the plot twists and turns, it reveals certain truths that change the way they understand their lives forever. Inside the four walls of a loft apartment, a small but powerful cast of veteran actors Carter Bratton and Mary Kate Moran are joined by Adam Jones to take us back in time to reveal how one generation can so totally misunderstand another. Family drama can bury secrets under decades of expectation, estrangement and mental illness to reveal a heartbreaking, unexpectedly romantic family story.

THREE DAYS OF RAIN opens May 7 at 8 pm and runs through May 23. The play is a production of the Unteathered Theater company that performs out of the Clifton Performance Theatre at 404 Ludlow Avenue Cincinnati OH 45220 For more information call : 513.861.SHOW, or get tickets at https://cpt.tixato.com/buy or learn more about the Untethered Theatre at untetheredtheater.com.

Whenever we talk about the zombie apocalypse, we never consider that a zombie might have a story to tell. As with any story, there are a lot of inaccuracies. But what this zombie knows might just be the cure to ending the world’s greatest humanitarian crisis. …or he might hold the answer to eradicating gingivitis. That might still be a win.
