Sunset Players Kicks off 35th Season with Regional Community Theater Premiere of The Addams Family – A New Musical

SSP_The Addams Family logoSunset Players will open its 35th season with the regional community theater premiere of  The Addams Family – A New Musical, book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice, music & lyrics by Andrew Lippa.

The musical is a creepy, spooky and kooky love story—Addams Family style. As Wednesday Addams is all grown up and falls in love with a normal young man from a respectable family. Chaos ensues as the Addams Family tries to host a normal dinner for the young man’s family. Join Gomez, Morticia, Uncle Fester and the whole Addams Family in this hilarious, finger snapping good show.

  • Alexander Mullins as Pugsley
  • Doug Bruening as Fester
  • Victoria Covarrubias as Grandma
  • Matthew Prater as Lucas

  • Lindsey Morgan as Alice
  • Sam Johnson as Lurch
  • Nick McDonough, Hannah Lewis, Russ D. McGee, Amanda Borchers, Karra Robinson, Devon Riddle, Hannah Johnson and Don Frimming as Addams Family Ancestors
  • Cassidy Dreier as Cousin It

Show dates are October 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, and 18. All performances begin at 8 pm with a 2 pm Sunday matinee. Tickets are $16 for general admission and $14 for students, seniors or groups of 10 or more. Season tickets ($60 per pair) are also on sale for the four regular season shows, including The Addams Family, Aladdin, A Nice Family Gathering and Wait Until Dark.

Sunset Players, Inc. is a community theater group located on the west side of Cincinnati. Founded in 1979, the group performs at the Arts Center at Dunham and has produced more than 120 plays.
