Directed by Kevin Crowley

Cast: Leah Strasser as Rebecca, Ben Dudley as Brandon, Carol Brammer as Annie and various, & Phil Morris as Dr. Wilcox and various

A comedy about Brandon and Rebecca, a match made in the Rapture. When people suddenly begin to disappear, Brandon’s Southern Baptist roots and Rapture preparedness leave him armed with a Bible, bottled water, canned food, and a mouthpiece (for the gnashing of teeth). Brandon finds his “save my soul” mate in Rebecca, a pre-med atheist, who joins him on a journey from New York City to Arkadelphia, Arkansas in hopes of finding the New Jerusalem. This pitch black comedy explores faith, love, and the American landscape.

Free Performance by Elementz’s Studio Kre8v

Schmidlapp Trusts, on Saturday, January 11 at 8:00 p.m. at the Arts Center at Dunham. The free performance features Studio Kre8v, a high energy hip hop dance team filled with some of the most talented youth in Cincinnati.

Studio Kre8v will also host a free dance class on Saturday, February 1 at 8:00 p.m. at the Arts Center at Dunham. Space for the class is limited. To register, call 513-588-4988.

Where street art meets street smart, Elementz is an urban oasis of hope and a catalyst of change for Cincinnati’s inner-city youth. What began as a way to get kids off the streets in 2001 has transformed into a thriving Urban Arts Center that fosters talent, ignites potential and inspires possibilities. Elementz helps build dreams, and brighter futures.

Elementz was founded and is supported by community stakeholders – from various ethnicities, backgrounds and careers – who believe in Cincinnati’s youth, and the power of music, poetry and art to positively impact our youth. Included are artists, teachers and mentors who encourage self-discovery, creative expression and individual passion. Because of wide community support, we give kids the respect and support they need to believe in themselves and in their community.

Elementz’s dance team, Studio Kre8v, is one of the hottest hip hop dance teams in our area. Studio Kre8v has performed with the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and the Cincinnati Boychoir.

The Arts Center at Dunham is a fine arts center for the west side of Cincinnati. Housed in one of the three remaining buildings of what was the first municipally owned tuberculosis sanatorium in the United States, the Arts Center includes a 350-seat performance venue as well as extensive studio and programming space. The Arts Center is located in the Dunham Recreation Complex. See what is happening at the Arts Center at Dunham on Facebook.
