A story that mixes heartbreak with humor and opera with laughter, and ponders the question “Am I too old for romance?” On an ordinary day in a routine life, Ralph takes a different path — one that leads him to an unexpected second chance at love. As he attempts to woo the elegant, but distant Carol, Ralph embarks on the trip of a lifetime, and regains a happiness that seemed all but lost.

The following roles are available:

  • Rose Tagliatelle – playing age 70s: Ralph’s sister, fussy and protective of Ralph.
  • ‘The Young Man’ – playing age early 20s: Ralph’s dream embodiment; must be able to sing opera or fake it pretty well.
  • The role of Ralph has been cast.

The person playing the role of ‘The Young Man’ will need to sing the following pieces:

E sonio? O realta from Falstaff

BULL Quick-Review

George Alexander as Carter, Kate Glasheen as Isobel, Dylan Shelton as Thomas & Jay Stratton as Tony

George Alexander as Carter, Kate Glasheen as Isobel, Dylan Shelton as Thomas & Jay Stratton as Tony

BULL presented by Know Theatre of Cincinnati through Nov. 30

Director Brian Robertson leads a strong ensemble (George Alexander as Carter, Kate Glasheen as Isobel, Dylan Shelton as Thomas & Jay Stratton as Tony) through this excellent production. What begins with workplace school-yardish bullying quickly and naturally evolves into something shocking and much darker in an intense 50 minutes. Clever use of florescent lighting and a cage-like set, both by Andrew Hungerford, serves as a great platform for show.
