The Order of the Little Sisters of Hoboken take over a high school
auditorium to hold a fundraising variety show to raise money to bury several
sisters (who were accidentally poisoned by their cook). They must inter the nuns

freezer! Fraught with hilarity, both Catholic and otherwise, we watch as 5 nuns
try to perform their planned performance amidst chaos and calamity.

2013 Fringe Schedule Grid

CFF_logoI’ve taken the CFF ’13 performance schedule for each day and created a spreadsheet grid I find useful in planning attendance.

Click to download my 2013Fringe.pdf file. (Last updated 5/29/13)

A few things to be aware of:

  • This is NOT an official Fringe document. I created it from the Fringe website information, which is subject to change. I will do my best to keep it accurate as changes are announced.
  • If a show runs longer than a 15 minute increment, I’ve added another block to the performance run time. So a show that runs 60 minutes is four blocks “tall” and a show that runs 65-75 minutes is five blocks “tall”, etc. Pay attention to the show length when you are considering attending performances at different venues back to back.
  • Boxes with dark grey shading are special events.
  • The document is formatted for printing. It is also view-able on smart phones that support .pdf format.
  • Revisions to the document will be posted as they are made.
  • Please message me through my FaceBook fan page if you find any errors.

Enjoy and happy Fringe-ing.

Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized Cincinnati Playhouse in the Park’s Shipwrecked! with an LCT for Ensemble Performance in a Play.

Shipwrecked! is the fantastic and amazing story of Louis de Rougemont, a would-be explorer who embarks from Victorian England on a daring expedition only to find himself marooned on a remote desert island. That’s when the real adventure begins for Louis and his faithful dog Bruno: Typhoon! Killer octopus! Flying wombats! Cannibals! As Louis’ breathless tale grows larger and larger, the boundary between truth and fiction blurs. Inspired by a true story, this charming, family-friendly frolic by a Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright celebrates the magic of theatre and imagination.

Panelists praised the three members of the ensemble: “These actors a true storytellers”; “the cast never missed a beat” while creatively executing “the swift and multiple character changes from the two actors supporting the lead”.

SHIPWRECKED! continues through June 16th. Tickets can be purchased at www.cincyplay.com.

Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the 2014 season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.

The League of Cincinnati Theatres was founded in 1999 to strengthen, nurture and promote Cincinnati’s theatre community. LCT provides its member companies and individual members with education, resources and services to enhance the quality and exposure of the theatre community in Cincinnati and increase community awareness, attendance and involvement. More information about the League can be found at www.leagueofcincytheatres.com.
