BLOODY BLOODY CABARET on April 23

Design by Alexandra Kesman.

Light some candles and prepare to have those tight, tight jeans crooned right off of your sexy ass. On April 23rd, the cast of Know Theatre’s BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON will convene for a no-holds-barred cabaret that’s sure to transform your otherwise boring-as-hell Monday night into a rock star extravaganza that’s not to be missed. So how about it, you doily-wearing muffin top? Or do we have to make fun of you for playing Bridge with your mom instead? Lame.

The amazingly talented cast of BLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON currently playing at Know Theatre of Cincinnati has put together some non-Bloody Bloody tunes to sing for you with musical accompaniment by Michael Flohr on April 23 from 7pm-1am.

Entry is a fully tax-deductible $20 suggested donation to support Know Theatre’s Club of Jacksons, the crowd-funded production sponsorship for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.

The Bloody Bloody Cabaret is sponsored by Melanie Garner & Michael Berry and Barbara Robb.

When a postulant proves too high-spirited for the religious life, she is dispatched to serve as governess for the seven children of a widowed naval Captain. Her growing rapport with the youngsters, coupled with her generosity of spirit, gradually captures the heart of the stern Captain, and they marry. Upon returning from their honeymoon they discover that Austria has been invaded by the Nazis, who demand the Captain’s immediate service in their navy. The family’s narrow escape over the mountains to Switzerland on the eve of World War II provides one of the most thrilling and inspirational finales ever presented in the theatre.

Passion, betrayal, and a bargain with a terrible price. In one of the Bard’s most controversial and thrilling plays, Antonio covers a debt for his friend Bassanio, from the complicated and persecuted Shylock—who has much reason to resent Antonio. Across lines of race and wrongdoing, Antonio must face a terrible fate, while Bassanio finds true love in the arms of the delightful Portia. Watch what happens as events culminate in a cross-dressing courtroom battle in THE MERCHANT OF VENICE.
