On a mission to end the Peloponnesian War, Lysistrata bands together the women of Greece in a pact to withhold sex until the men declare peace. As the women tantalize and tease their way to harmony, a timeless story emerges of sexual politics, political power struggles, and the battle between the sexes. Funny, poignant, and more than a little dirty, Lysistrata celebrates the power of women and reason in the face of destruction.

Johnny, Tunny and Will struggle to find meaning in a post-9/11 world. When they decide to flee the constraints of their hometown for the thrills of city life, their paths are quickly estranged when Tunny enters the armed forces, Will is called back home to attend to familial responsibilities, and Johnny’s attention becomes divided by a seductive love interest and a hazardous new friendship. Winner of two Tony Awards, AMERICAN IDIOT is a high-octane, energy-fueled rock opera, featuring every song from Green Day’s album, AMERICAN IDIOT, as well as several songs from its follow-up release, 21ST CENTURY BREAKDOWN. Adult language and situations, including drug use and wartime violence. Haze and intense stroble lighting are used during the performance.

9/2/21 Covid-19 Policy: In accordance with Xavier University’s COVID regulations, all individuals are required to wear masks while inside buildings on campus, including during theatrical performances in the Gallagher Student Center Theatre. Audience members will be asked to leave, without refund, if masks are not worn during the performance.
