We are aware of current concerns regarding COVID-19. As with any other illness, if you are sick, we encourage you to stay home and rest.

In regards to the upcoming ban on public gatherings: Our theatre audiences are currently expected to be under 80 (including cast and crew) over the next three performances of Proof. This number is under the recommendation being issued by Governor DeWine. We are therefore planning on the show continuing to be presented as planned. If you have any questions or concerns, you are welcome to reach out to the theatre box office at 937.339.7700, or through FB messenger. Thank you, and we hope to see you in the audience!

Directed by Nicole SueAnn Wallace

Cast: Rachel Smith as Catherine, Steve Dietrich as Robert, T.J Montgomery as Hal & Sarah Caplan as Claire

Catherine, the daughter of an esteemed mathematician, has just lost her father, who died after suffering from a prolonged mental illness. Robert was a gifted, ground-breaking professor, but as he lost his sanity, he lost his ability to work with numbers. Having inherited Robert’s talent for numbers brings Catherine to worry about the future of her own mental health. With her sister Claire in town for the funeral and her father’s previous grad student Hal going through Robert’s papers, Catherine brings forward a ground-breaking math proof that could change the field. But who wrote it: the brilliant professor during his 9 months of lucidity or his daughter, who dropped out of her math program during her undergrad? PROOF is a story of family, friendship, trust, love, and mental health.

ONCE UPON A MATTRESS Runs Sept. 27-Oct. 6

TROY_Once Upon a Mattress lohgoONCE UPON A MATTRESS
Troy Civic Theatre
Sept. 27-Oct. 6
Troy City Park

Directed by Derek Dunavent

If you thought you knew the story of ‘The Princess and The Pea,’ you may be in for a walloping surprise! Did you know, for instance, that Princess Winnifred actually swam the moat to reach Prince Dauntless the Drab? Or that Lady Larken’s love for Sir Harry provided a rather compelling reason that she reach the bridal altar post haste? Or that, in fact, it wasn’t the pea at all that caused the princess a sleepless night? Carried on a wave of wonderful songs, by turns hilarious and raucous, romantic and melodic, this rollicking spin on the familiar classic of royal courtship and comeuppance provides for some side-splitting shenanigans. Chances are you’ll never look at fairy tales quite the same way again.
