HARVEY
by Mary Chase

After Elwood P. Dowd introduces his imaginary friend, Harvey, a six-and-a-half-foot rabbit, to guests at a society party, his sister, Veta, decides to have him committed to a sanitarium to spare their family from future embarrassment. Hilarity ensues when Veta is assumed to be a lunatic when she explains to the good doctors at the sanitarium that years of living with the hallucination have caused her to see Harvey too! Mistakenly committed, Veta finally clears the confusion and the search is on for Elwood and Harvey. When he shows up at the sanitarium looking for his lost friend Harvey, it seems that the mild-mannered Elwood’s delusion has had a strange influence on more than one of the doctors. Eventually, even Veta comes to understand Harvey.

THE SLEEPING BEAUTY

On the princess’ 16th birthday, she is destined to prick her finger and fall into an enchanted sleep, never to awaken… unless true love can save the day. A fun story for all ages.

HALLELUJAH GIRLS
by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, Jamie Wooten

Hilarity abounds when the feisty females of Eden Falls, Georgia, decide to shake up their lives. After the loss of a dear friend, the women realize time is precious, and if they’re going to change their lives and achieve their dreams, they have to get on it now! Sugar Lee follows her dreams and opens Spa-Dee-Dah. Carlene gives up on romance. Nita tries to keep her son from heading back to the big house. Mavis contemplates how to get out of marriage. All the while, Crystal entertains them all, singing Christmas carols with her own hilarious lyrics and costumes. When an ex-boyfriend shows up unexpectedly, a marriage proposal comes from an unlikely suitor and Sugar Lee’s archrival vows she’ll stop at nothing to steal the spa away from her, the girls find their charming Southern life shaken and have to take drastic action.

THE 39 STEPS
by Patrick Barlow and John Buchan

In The 39 Steps, a man with a boring life meets a woman with a thick accent who says she’s a spy. When he takes her home, she is murdered. Soon, a mysterious organization called “The 39 Steps” is hot on the man’s trail in a nationwide manhunt that climaxes in a death-defying finale! It’s Hitchcock meets Monty Python in this hysterical thriller!

And introducing our new summer show –

NEXT TO NORMAL
Music by Tom Kitt, Book and Lyrics by Brian Yorkey

Pulitzer-Prize winning rock musical explores how one suburban household copes with crisis and mental illness. Diane Goodman, mother and wife, struggles with bipolar disorder and the effect that her illness has on her family. Meanwhile, her husband and daughter try to cope with her illness in different ways, one tries to forget while the other confronts. This contemporary musical is an emotional powerhouse that addresses such issues as grieving a loss, ethics in modern psychiatry, and suburban life. With provocative lyrics and a thrilling score, this musical shows how far two parents will go to keep themselves sane and their family’s world intact.
