Stage Right Presents ALICE IN WONDERLAND Summer Camp

SRMTC_logoWilliamstown, KY -Stage Right Musical Theatre Company is thrilled to announce its upcoming Rising Stars Academy Summer Theatre Camp: “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” This exciting program offers budding young performers the opportunity to dive into the enchanting world of theatre while bringing the beloved Disney classic “Alice in Wonderland” to life on stage.

The camp, designed for children ages 8-18, will run from July 1 to 19 at First Love Community Fellowship in Dry Ridge. Led by experienced theatre professionals, participants will learn valuable life skills while acting, singing, and dancing. Through fun and interactive workshops,
campers will develop their performance skills, build confidence, and forge lasting friendships with kids all over Grant County and beyond.

The camp is the perfect opportunity for students with years of experience in theatre and first-timers alike. Together, they will create Wonderland and its colorful characters. Plus every camper is guaranteed a role in the production!

Rising Stars Academy’s Summer Theatre Camp culminates in two performances of “Alice in Wonderland Jr.” on the final days of camp (July 19 & 20), where campers will showcase their talents in front of family and friends at the brand new Williamstown Performing Arts Center. This unique experience provides participants with a chance to shine on stage and celebrate their accomplishments in a supportive and nurturing environment.

“We are thrilled to invite young performers to join us for another summer of creativity, learning, and fun,” said John Siedenberg II, Artistic Director at Stage Right. “Our goal is to inspire and empower children to discover the magic of theatre while fostering a love for the performing arts.

Since our first camp in 2016 we’ve seen shy students turn into public speakers, young artists grow into professionals, and kids learn life skills like teamwork, perseverance, responsibility, and confidence.”

Auditions Announced for FOOTLOOSE at Stage Right Musical Theatre Company

Williamstown, KY – Stage Right Musical Theatre Company is thrilled to announce auditions for their professional summer production: “Footloose the Musical” running June 28 – July 14 at the Williamstown Performing Arts Center. All Roles Available with evening rehearsals beginning June 1. Seeking any and all actors ages 18 and older.

“Everybody cut FOOTLOOSE! Based on the original 1984 film, Footloose brings to life this classic story in an explosive new way! When rebellious teen Ren is forced to move to a small town where dancing is forbidden, it’s up to him and his classmates to defy the rules! This heartfelt story pins a father longing for the son he lost against a young man aching for the father who walked out on him. Featuring a blend of new music and classic anthems like “Holding Out for a Hero” and “Let’s Hear it for the Boy”; “Footloose” is sure to leave you dancing out of your seat.”

Auditions will be held at:

  • NKU FA 220 March 22 from 6p-9p and March 24 3p-6p
  • First Love Community Fellowship in Dry Ridge, KY March 23 from 1p-5p.
  • Video submissions are accepted, but in-person auditions are highly encouraged.

For Auditions please prepare:

  • 2 Contrasting Songs in the style of the musical (Selections from Footloose are accepted)
  • Current Resume and Headshot
  • Properly marked Sheet Music for accompaniment (Acapella auditions will not be considered)

Please Note: There will be cold readings and a dance audition. Please make sure to have appropriate dance attire.

Stage Right Presents ANNIE

SRMTC_AnnieBringing the classic musical comedy to life

Williamstown, KY – Stage Right Musical Theatre Company’s production of “Annie” will open January 26 and run through February 4th at the brand new Williamstown Performing Arts Center.

The company of Annie stars Adalynn Coleman as the titular redhead, with Joshua Van Nort as Oliver Warbucks. Annie Schneider, Mary Vosseberg, Trey Finkenstead, Cassidy Perme fill the respective roles of Grace, Miss Hannigan, Rooster, and Lily St. Regis. The ensemble consists of Scout Grass, Jackson Greene, Madisyn Kelley, Mckinley Grace Lustenberg, Kelli Philips,
Heather Mizer, Ivy Mizer, Leighton Holladay, Brett Price, Garry Zink, and Rachel Gardner.

The orphans of Annie will be played by Catherine Bergstrom, Lilian Crowe, Echo Mizer, Jaclyn Crousey, Maggie Zink, Elaine Becker, Sky Drawdy, Kendyl Nickell, and Evelyn Heubach.

The production is helmed by John Siedenberg II, with stage management by Shannon Eaton, Music direction by Kristi Hiner, Choreography by Shelby Coleman, costume designs by Emily Carroll, and production design by John Siedenberg Sr.

The presenting sponsor of this production is the Grant County Tourism & Convention Commission.

Warbucks invites Annie to join him for Christmas, her dreams of family come to life in unexpected ways, befriending President Franklin D Roosevelt, foiling Miss Hannigan, and finding home in unexpected places. Annie the Musical is the perfect musical for the entire family.”
