Audition Dates/Times:

  • Monday, April 25 – 7:30-9 PM
  • Tuesday, April 26 – 7:30-9 PM

Location: 4101 Walton Creek Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45227

Performance Dates: July 8-24, 2016

Synopsis
A small, madcap band of three actors, influenced by the likes of the Marx Brothers, the Three Stooges and the “Carol Burnett Show,” decide to tackle the impossible: to perform all 37 of Shakespeare’s plays in 90 minutes. Fast paced, witty and physical, this play is full of laughter for Shakespeare lovers and haters alike. It’s a Shakespearian mix of pratfalls, clunky female impersonators, clean-cut ribaldry, and broad burlesque. Actors interested in auditioning must be very comfortable with physical comedy and improvisation. Auditions will be cold readings from the script.  Dress to move and be prepared to improvise!

The show will begin rehearsals on May 23 and performances will run Thursdays through Sundays, July 8 – 24, 2016. For more information or perusal material, contact director Tom Peters at sloanpeters@hotmail.com.

Mariemont Players Announces HAY FEVER

Mariemont Players presents Hay Fever, a comedy by Noël Coward, at the Walton Creek Theater, 4101 Walton Creek Road (just East of Mariemont), March 4th through March 20th, 2016.

Unconventional, risqué, and often downright rude, the Blisses are everything an upper-crust English family should not be. This is made abundantly clear when each family member invites a guest for the weekend. Alliances form, affairs begin, and formality is thrown to the wind. Noël Coward’s perfect comedy will send you home laughing.

Hay Fever is directed by jef brown, produced by Wayne Kirsch & Amy Stier, and features the talents of Kenny Tessel, Barbara Karol, Mitch Worden, Elizabeth Beatty, Lon Nease, Jeanette Tacon, Bryce Wilson, Darcy Schwass, and Jan Costello. 

Performances will be:

Male Actor Needed for WHO AM I THIS TIME? at Mariemont Players

MPI_logoMariemont Players is still seeking a male actor, stage age 18-22, for its May production: Who Am I This Time? (& Other Conundrums of Love).

The actor will play three characters:

  • Newt – A young soldier
  • Joey “Doodles” Brookes – A young stage manager
  • John Murra – Murra’s son

Please note, the actor does not have to be 18-22. They just have to look college-age. The production runs 13 performances May 6-22, and rehearsals will begin March 21st. If interested, please contact director Dan Maloney about auditioning at maloneykd@gmail.com as soon as possible.
