In a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay, Gunner has hatched an unorthodox plan to secure his family’s future but meets with resistance from his wife and son. As winter approaches, the three must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding – before the tide goes out.

Synopsis
1963… An assassin’s bullet catapults Lyndon B. Johnson into the presidency. A Shakespearean figure of towering ambition and appetite, this charismatic, conflicted Texan hurls himself into the Civil Rights Act, a tinderbox issue emblematic of a divided America.

Mariemont Players Announce AROUND THE WORLD

Mariemont Players presents Around the World in 80 Days at the Walton Creek Theater, 4101 Walton Creek Road (just East of Mariemont), March 9th to March 25th.

Hop aboard the train as Phileas Fogg and a small troupe of actors take on a global collection of unforgettable characters in this imaginative and theatrical re-imagining of Jules Verne’s classic adventure. You won’t know what hit you as you become immersed in this exciting, and incredibly silly, rollercoaster spectacle.

Around the World in 80 Days is directed by Jerry Wiesenhahn, produced by Kristen Vincenty, and features the talents of Eric Thomas, Eric Day, Ryan Naish, Jay Dallas Benson, Patricia N. Mullins, and Patrick Kramer.

Come visit our beautifully renovated auditorium complete with more comfortable seating, center aisle seats, new carpeting, fresh paint, aisle lighting, and a sound induction loop for those with hearing aid T switches and head sets for those with low hearing issues.

***All those auditioning are REQUIRED to prepare a 1-2 minute contemporary monologue.***

Synopsis

Characters
Seeking 17 men, 3 women. Various ages and types. Several African-American roles. Due to characters being historical figures, non-traditional casting is not possible.

The role of Martin Luther King Jr. has been cast, but all other roles including LBJ are open.
