Sherry McCamley & Cathy Springfield received a grant from the Cincinnati Arts Ambassadors Fellowship program to write a cabaret-style show designed to reduce stigma surrounding mental health issues through stories and songs.  They recently added Sherry’s daughter, Erin McCamley, to the show, and she has her own stories & songs to share.  The show entertains as well as educates audiences about mental health issues and even gets the audience to sing along!

Falcon Welcomes Sir Pat-Trick & Mike Woodward

FT_logoLooking for something a little different? This weekend, we are hosting Sir Pat-Trick, Magical Entertainer at Falcon Theatre for a limited engagement!

A Little Night Magic, featuring Sir Pat-Trick and Illusionist Mike Woodward will present a family-friendly magic show perfect for all ages.

About Sir Pat-Trick:
Sir Pat-Trick has been turning heads with his award winning stage act. With numerous awards under his belt it is no wonder he has become a seasoned professional, even allowing him to receive two standing ovations at The Orleans Casino in Las Vegas and being asked to perform at The World Famous Magic Castle in Los Angeles California. Also Sir Pat-Trick has had articles about him being coached by Joanie Spina, Former Lead assistant and Artistic Director to David Copperfield, written about him in Magic Magazine, a worldwide publication for Magicians. His background in theater has enhanced his career in stage production and performances. He is a proud member of the Society of American Magicians, the International Brotherhood of Magicians, Magician Alliance of Eastern States, and the Covington Royal Academy of Prestidigitation. He combines different theatrical disciplines such as comedy, slap-stick, audience participation, storytelling with traditional magic that will guarantee to make any show a memorable one and his charming style will surely put a smile on your face

About Mike Woodward:
Mike Woodward became interested in magic as a small child and has been performing since that time. Mike’s early performances were usually for church groups, birthday parties, and civic organizations in the Central Kentucky area. Over the years, Mike’s performances have grown to include Colleges, Major Corporations, and Conventions throughout the US, with an occasional appearance in Canada, China and Mexico.

This limited engagement runs July 15 and 16 at 8 p.m. and a special matinee performance at 2 p.m. on July 17. Tickets are $20 for VIP (including a soft drink and gift), $15 for adults and $10 for children and available at alittlenightmagic.com or at the door.

All performances are at Falcon Theatre, 636 Monmouth Street, Newport, Kentucky.

Auditions Announced for DIAL M FOR MURDER at Falcon Theatre

What to Prepare
For initial audition: 1-2 minute dramatic monologue
For callbacks: attached sides (we will send out callback list directly after the audition)

Character Descriptions

  • Tony: M. late 20s/30s. British. A former tennis player, Tony is currently planning an elaborate plan to have his wife murdered. He is a true gentleman, and is NEVER shaken or perturbed. Very good at thinking on his feet, he is cold and calculating, while giving off the demeanor of warmth and friendliness.
  • Max: M. late 20s/30s. American. An crime writer for television, he is having an affair with Margot and truly loves her. While he is a gentleman, he can be fiery and speak his mind if the situation requires it. A genuine good guy. 
  • Margot: F. Mid 20s/early 30s. British. An heiress, and the wife of Tony. While she conforms to the societal standards of the 50s, she has been having an affair with Max. Fun loving and trusting, but can be a bit sarcastic and overbearing if the situation calls for it. Fight choreography required. 
  • Hubbard: M. 30s/40s. British. The Chief Inspector, Hubbard is immediately able to tell that not everything is as it seems with the case. He is calm and professional, a true British gentleman. Excited by the idea of solving a case. 
  • Lesgate: M. late 20s/30s. British. A former classmate of Tony’s at Cambridge. He has gone from educated student to petty criminal, mostly focusing in conning older women out of their money. While he believes he is a good criminal, he is easily able to be blackmailed. Nervous & jittery, unsuccessfully attempts to be suave and debonair. Fight choreography required.Questions?
