CAA_Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer logo(Cincinnati, OH – Aug 24, 2015)  – In 1964, the beloved stop-motion animated television classic, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer, made its network television debut delighting audiences across the country. The longest-running and highest-rated television special comes to life, live on stage with Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical – http://www.rudolphthemusical.com – featuring the world’s most famous reindeer and a holly jolly cast of iconic characters. Rudolph and friends, including Hermey the Elf, Yukon Cornelius, and the Abominable Snow Monster, help Santa save Christmas during a tour this holiday season.

Rudolph and friends will visit the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall on Wednesday, December 9 at  6:30 PM. Tickets are on sale Friday, August 28 at 10:00 AM at http://www.CincinnatiArts.org, (513) 621-ARTS (2787), and the Aronoff Center Ticket Office. Rudolph is presented in Cincinnati by 35 Concerts.

Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical is so faithful to the original show that it practically transports audience members into the television special. The songs drive the plot while familiar and nostalgic set designs, costumes, and characters are brought to stage. The cast brings new energy to the classic songs and dialogue, while puppets help showcase the charming “roughness” from the television show’s stop-motion effects.

The story tells the tale of a young Rudolph who, because of the appearance of his bright, shining nose, is ousted from the reindeer games in Christmas-town. He flees town, meets up with new friends Hermey and Yukon, and a series of funny and endearing adventures ensue including a visit to The Island of Misfit Toys. Rudolph journeys home, where a snowstorm of epic proportions is threatening Christmas. Can Rudolph save his family and friends and help Santa save the holiday?

The productions will also tie in with the #ShineBright social media campaign, which is a celebration of uniqueness that will be championed by PACER’s National Bullying Prevention Center.  Workshops, lesson plans, and special performances will use the story as a platform for teaching important lessons about diversity and tolerance.

The unique challenges that her special abilities create for her husband of 22 years, Larry, and her two children, aged 20 and 24, and how they cope, are also a main theme on the show.

Theresa’s second book titled “You Can’t Make This Stuff Up” was released in September 2014 and debuted at #9 on the NY Times Best Seller List. Her first book titled “There’s More to Life Than This” debuted in the fall of 2013.

THE TENORS: Under the Sky Tour | Tue., November 3 | Aronoff Center

THE TENORS: Under the Sky Tour

Proctor & Gamble Hall – Aronoff Center
Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 7:30pm

Tickets on sale, Friday, August 7 at 10am

CAA_The Tenors promoCINCINNATI, OH – The Tenors – the Canadian multi-platinum, JUNO Award-winning vocal group – bring their beautiful harmonies and irresistible charm to the Aronoff Center’s Procter & Gamble Hall on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 at 7:30 PM with their new Under  the Sky Tour. The event is presented by the Cincinnati Arts Association as part of its 2015-16 Season – celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Aronoff Center.

Tickets range between $40-$85 (prices subject to change) and are on sale Friday, August 7 at 10:00 AM at www.CincinnatiArts.org, (513) 621-ARTS [2787], and the Aronoff Center Ticket Office.  Group discount tickets for 10 or more are available by calling (513) 977-4157.

The quartet, with multiple #1 Billboard Classical Crossover albums under its belt, “have talent to burn” and “killer singing voices” raves The Toronto Starand “pitch perfect harmonies” says Examiner.com. The music of Clifton Murray, Victor Micallef, Remigio Pereira, and Fraser Walters is rich and soulful, spanning powerful anthems, classic covers, and original songs penned/co-penned by The Tenors themselves.

Get ready to hear The Tenors like you’ve never heard them before! On their new album, Under One Sky, the multi-platinum Juno Award-winning foursome co-wrote eight tunes, showing facets of themselves they’ve longed to share with their millions of fans.

The Canadian group has written a handful of songs for their previous three sets, but Under One Sky marks the first time their songwriting talents stand toe-to-toe with their vocal prowess. In the process, they’ve created a rich collection that expands on their earlier efforts, while delving deeper into their collective strength as artists. The four members wrote individually and in pairs, often teaming with top co-writers including Walter Afanasieff (Mariah Carey, Josh Groban) and Steve Diamond (Faith Hill, Eric Clapton).

Over the years, The Tenors’ musical diversity has become one of their primary strengths, and Under One Sky’s material covers the full range of tunes that have made the group one of the most popular live draws across the globe. In addition to the original songs, Under One Sky includes the foursome’s reinventions of contemporary classics like “Lean on Me,”“You Are So Beautiful,” and Queen’s “Who Wants To Live Forever”;  a swoon-worthy duet featuring Walters’ wife, Kelly Levesque; as well as their glorious interpretations of classical pieces “Granada,” “Besame Mucho,” and “Agnus Dei.”

The album’s emotional centerpiece is “My Father’s Son,” a song written by The Tenors with Asher Lenz as a tribute to their own dads. The poignancy of songs such as this and the group’s ability to express authentic feelings through their euphonious voices is what deeply connects The Tenors to their fans. “Our songs are inspirational. They’re about goodness and helping others and about love,” Pereira says. “A lot of people who listen to us have come through a lot of strife and they find wisdom and hope in our music.”

Concurrent with the album’s release this past June, PBS stations across the country began airing the quartet’s third special, Under One Sky, which gives a taste of what to expect when The Tenors hit the road. “In the past, the PBS sets didn’t have anything to do with the tour,” Micallef says. ”This time, the ideas are the same, the stage design is similar.”

Since their formation in 2007, The Tenors have performed more than 500 concerts on five continents and made over 150 television appearances, including The Oprah Winfrey Show (with Celine Dion), the 2014 National Christmas Tree Lighting at the White House, the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals, the 2012 Emmy Awards, the Queen’s 2012 Diamond Jubilee at Windsor Castle in England, and the 2010 Vancouver Olympic opening ceremonies. Among the artists with whom they have performed are Paul McCartney, Sting, Sheryl Crow, Andrea Bocelli, and Sarah McLachlan.

The Tenors’ first album is certified double platinum, and their holiday album is certified triple platinum in Canada. Their third album, 2012’s Lead With Your Heart, went double platinum, won a 2013 Juno Award for Adult Contemporary Album of the Year,  and debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Classical and Classical Crossover charts. They have sold almost one million albums around the world.

The Tenors will kick off their 70-city North American tour in September and can’t wait to perform their new material. “We were thinking about the live show with this album,” Walters says. “When you come to the live show you get so many pockets of different styles, and we love to show our humor by interacting with our audience. That’s why people seem to gravitate towards us. You’ll hear us go from something more pop to something that’s in Italian or Spanish with a big sound.”

As they continue to evolve, The Tenors have a firm grasp on moving forward, while never forgetting what unites them with their audience. “Our goal is longevity – to be doing this in 15 to 20 years time,” Murray says. “The only way to do this is to create memorable music that people cherish.” With Under One Sky, The Tenors have once again done just that, bringing all their musical worlds together for all to enjoy.

Named for Stevens’ mother and stepfather, the 11 songs address life and death, love and loss, and the artist’s struggle to make sense of the beauty and ugliness of love. The album debuted at #6 on the Billboard 200, selling 50,538 albums in its first week and marking Stevens’ highest chart debut to date.

A singer-songwriter currently living in Brooklyn, NY, Stevens’ preoccupation with epic concepts has motivated two state records (Michigan & Illinois), a collection of sacred and biblical songs (Seven Swans), an electronic album for the animals of the Chinese zodiac (Enjoy Your Rabbit), two Christmas box sets (Songs for Christmas, vol. 1-5 and Silver & Gold, vol. 6-10),  a BAM-commissioned programmatic tone poem for the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway (The BQE), two collaborations with New York City Ballet choreographer and dancer Justin Peck, and an instrumental accompaniment to slow-motion rodeo footage—a second BAM-commission.
