We’re Back!

After a year off, we are very excited to announce auditions for our 4th Annual CaBARTret! Directed by Maddy Weinkam & Jeff Weinkam. The show will be ONE NIGHT ONLY on November 9th and rehearsals will be minimal. The show will be comprised of solos/small group songs and 3 large group numbers. You must be at least 18 years old and out of high school to participate.

The theme for this year is “Page to Stage” meaning we will be doing selections of songs from shows based on books
(see here for examples: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Musicals_based_on_novels)

There will be no in person auditions this year. ALL auditions will be virtual!

Video auditions must be received by September 8th at 5:00pm. Please send videos to BartsBards@gmail.com

What we need for your audition:

  • 16-32 bars of a musical theatre song you would like to perform in the show that fits the theme (you may be asked to sing something different for the show if the directors so choose)
  • A brief (1 minute or less) explanation of why you want to be a part of this year’s CaBARTret

Note: if you have participated in a Bart’s Bards show within the last 5 years and wish to ONLY be in the large group numbers, you do not need to audition. Just send us an email by September 8th letting us know you would like to be in the group numbers!
