This family-friendly fable introduces us to Fox — clever and sly, but likable — who befriends Justi, a simple woodsman. Fox persuades the king that Justi is wealthy and searching for a princess to marry. These lies, of course, bring trouble, conflict and humor. Justi eventually proves his worth, however, and takes his place as the story’s hero.

The jack-of-all trades, Bert, introduces us to England in 1910 and the troubled Banks family. Young Jane and Michael have sent many a nanny packing before Mary Poppins arrives on their doorstep. Using a combination of magic and common sense, she must teach the family how to value each other again. Mary Poppins takes the children on many magical and memorable adventures, but Jane and Michael aren’t the only ones she has a profound effect upon. Even grown-ups can learn a lesson or two from the nanny who advises that “Anything can happen if you let it.”

After stealing a vegetable from Witch Izwitch, Walt Shwartzbuckle promises her their firstborn child in exchange for his freedom. He has a child named Rapunzel and on her 18thbirthday the witch takes Rapunzel to a tower in the forest. When Prince Llewellyn discovers her, he tries to rescue her from the evil witch. Ages 4 and up.

The colorful characters transport us from the Jungle of Nool to the Circus McGurkus to the invisible world of the Whos. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family, and community are challenged and emerge triumphant. SEUSSICAL is fun for the whole family — It’s Dr. Seuss like you’ve never seen him before!

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati presents DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. this October at the Taft Theatre!

Audiences will dive into the new season of The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati with Ariel and her aquatic friends in DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. which has been adapted from Disney’s 2008 Broadway production. The show runs October 16-18, 24 & 25 at the Taft Theatre. The show will be directed and choreographed by Roderick Justice. Lyrics by Howard Ashman and Glenn Slater, Music by Alan Menken. Book by Doug Wright. Based on the Hans Christian Andersen Story and the Disney Film produced by Howard Ashman & John Musker and written & directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. Puppets by The Frisch Marionettes. Flying Effects provided by ZFX, Inc.

In a magical underwater kingdom, the beautiful young mermaid Ariel longs to leave her ocean home – and her fins – behind and be part of the world above. But first she’ll have to defy her father King Triton, make a deal with the evil sea witch Ursula, and convince the handsome Prince Eric that she’s the girl with the enchanting voice that he has been seeking.

The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati also presents an additional nine performances of DISNEY’S THE LITTLE MERMAID JR. for school students.
