Directors Sought for 2022-2023 Season at The Footlighters, Inc.

FLI_Directors 2022-2023Directors sought for the 2022-2023 season at The Footlighters, Inc. in Newport, KY.

The Footlighters, Inc. is accepting submissions for directors for the 2022-2023 season. Interested directors must submit an application and a theatrical resume. Directors will be allowed to submit up to two productions for consideration. One of those productions must come from a list of shows selected by Footlighters, and one can be of the applicant’s choosing. All submissions will be considered equally regardless of whether they are from the list of potential productions or independently selected by the director.

We are seeking directorial candidates who feel they can bring a fresh and inclusive perspective to the shows they’ve submitted, and we encourage directors from diverse backgrounds, whether you’ve directed for Footlighters before or not, to apply.

Please visit https://www.footlighters.org/directors-submissions-2022-2023 to download your application and to view the list of potential shows.

All submissions must be emailed to the Season/Director Committee Chair, Chad Brinkman, at Footlighters.Director.Submission@gmail.com. The deadline to submit materials is Sunday, October 17, 2021. Interested directors will be contacted to schedule interviews for the week of October 18 or 25. Interviews will take place at the Stained Glass Theatre or will be conducted virtually via Zoom.

We will produce a four-show season for 2022-2023. Each production will have 14 performances in our very own Stained Glass Theatre.

A Gentleman’s Guide to Love & Murder and its accompanying director have been previously selected to fill one of these production openings. Therefore, we will be selecting three directors and three productions to complete the season.

Should you have additional questions or need assistance, please email Footlighters.Director.Submission@gmail.com, and we will be happy to help.

The Footlighters, Inc. is a nonprofit organization located in Newport, Kentucky. For nearly 60 years, Footlighters has been committed to providing Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky with a wide variety of high-quality theatrical experiences and has received local, state, and national awards for outstanding production quality, individual and ensemble performances, and technical achievements

Directors Sought for 2022-2023 Season at Dayton Playhouse

DPH_logoWe are now accepting Director Submissions for our 2022-2023 Season.

Procedure: Interested directors must submit a Director Submissions Form including up to six plays/musicals, which they believe the Dayton Playhouse should consider for our 64th (2022-2023) season. Please include the name of the show, version (if there is more than one available), author, publisher that controls the rights, synopsis, cast requirements, and any information that you believe will aid the evaluation.

Process: Submissions will be reviewed by the all-volunteer Dayton Playhouse Artistic Committee. The committee will also consider other shows that are appropriate for our season separate from submissions. Please indicate if you might be interested in directing a show other than those you have submitted.
Selection: The Artistic Committee will submit a proposed season, along with possible alternatives, to the Dayton Playhouse Board of Directors. The Board makes the final season selection, based on audience appeal, artistic challenge, resources required and available. Since the Dayton Playhouse is an all-volunteer group, without outside support, focus will be on shows that will spark both patron and artist excitement.

The Dayton Playhouse Board appreciates the time, willingness and effort of all directors who offer submissions. Submissions are open now, and will close on November 5, 2021. It will be the goal of those involved to select a season by January 21, 2022. All directors who have submitted will be notified of the status of their submission by that date. For additional information, you may email: dpiartisticcommittee@gmail.com.

Visit our Website for the submission form and additional information.
