Infused with the raw jagged energy of youth, The Wolves offers a refreshingly complex depiction of girls navigating friendships, growing up, confronting the future—and trying to score a few goals. Immediate and timely, this ferociously contemporary coming-of-age drama explores the aggression and teamwork of sports and adolescence with an unflinching and compassionate eye. A 2017 Pulitzer Prize finalist, Sarah DeLappe’s widely-acclaimed firecracker of a debut is a fierce and unexpected play that has been taking the theater world by storm with its powerful reflection on society, sex, and soccer.
