Afterschool Arts Enrichment Teachers Sought by Cincinnati Academy of Performing Arts

CAPA_logoCincinnati Academy of Performing Arts is seeking afterschool arts enrichment teachers.

CAPA offer group classes after school at Indian Hill Primary, Indian Hill Elementary, Madeira Elementary, Mariemont Elementary, Terrace Park Elementary and Sherwood Elementary which is in the Forest Hills School District. We often base the classes on what each instructor would like to do. Some classes we have done before are improv acting, theatre dance, intro to acting, script writing, and hip hop just to name a few. We offer two classes at each school so as you can see there are lots of teaching opportunities for people.

The pay is $50 a class but this is flexible based on experience. Classes run for 8-10 weeks and start in mid to late September. The classes start at the end of the school day, usually between 3:15-3:30pm.

We quickly learn that living so close to one another has taken its toll. Some start to question their lives and decide to make some changes before it’s too late. In 1980, MORNING’S AT SEVEN was nominated for the Tony award for Best Revival of a Play.

THE BARBER OF SEVILLE Runs July 24-29

CO_The Barber of SevilleTHE BARBER OF SEVILLE
Cincinnati Opera
July 24-29
Summit Park [Blue Ash]

Based on the play of the same name by Pierre-Augustin Caron de Beaumarchais, The Barber of Seville introduces us to Figaro, the titular barber bursting with bravado. He’s enlisted by the lovelorn Count Almaviva to win the heart of the clever and comely Rosina. Rossini’s masterful, laugh-out-loud comedy (the prequel to The Marriage of Figaro) is packed with rapid-fire punchlines and toe-tapping melodies—from one of the world’s most famous overtures to the instantly recognizable “Figaro! Figaro! Figaro!” of “Largo al factotum.” With whimsy, wit, and plenty of woo, The Barber of Seville reminds us that, as Beaumarchais once said, “Where love is concerned, too much is not even enough.”

  • Sat, July 24 at 8:30pm
  • Thu, July 29 at 8:30pm
