Call for 2024-2025 Season Directors at CenterStage Players

CSP_logoCenterStage Players is now accepting applications for Directors for our 2024-2025 season! We are searching for creative and talented directors, both experienced and new, who aren’t afraid to take a risk. We are open to comedy, drama, farce, and musical submissions and are particularly interested in rarely performed shows, original works, and “edgy” scripts. We would especially love to have a musical in our 24-25 season. You can see the list of our previous productions on our website – http://www.centerstageplayersinc.com.

We are aiming to produce three (3) shows next year. Our usual home at Lockland High School is still under renovations, so we will be on the move once again next season, intending to keep our slots at the Dunham Arts Center (Sunset) and the Evendale Bell Tower Pavilion (Tri-County) for the season. With that in mind, please suggest shows that could be produced in a variety of venues.

Interested applicants should send the information shown below to Rebecca Coots and Lisa Hunt, Vice-Presidents of Production, before the deadline of November 30, 2023. Director interviews will take place on January 20, 2024.

Please respond to this notice by e-mail to csplayersoh@gmail.com or by snail mail to:
Lisa Hunt
3710 Philnoll Drive
Cincinnati, OH 45247

Please include the following your submission:
Director Information:
– Director Contact information (name, phone, email)
– Director Resume

Show:
– Title of Play
– Playwright
(Please include a copy of the script, if possible, or ensure that it is a show that will have an easily accessible copy)

Production Information:
– What about the show appeals to you as a director?
– Please list any technical crew that you work with on a regular basis or would like to involve in this production:
– What technical issues, if any, does the show present? How would you plan to resolve these?
– Are there any anticipated casting difficulties? If so, how would you overcome them?
– Are there budgeting issues or exceptional costs associated with this production?
– If your show is selected, are there any timing restrictions that would assist us in building our season schedule? (i.e., can only direct in the Fall)

NOTE: Multiple shows may be pitched, though individual director interviews will be limited to 30 minutes.
