– From Dobbling, Muehlenkamp-Erschell Funeral Home
Steve Myers, 71, of Fort Thomas, KY, passed away suddenly on Monday, February 27, 2023. Steve owned and operated Honey-Do Home Services, and had a hand in improving properties across the entire Tri-State (except for perhaps his own, which he planned to get to “when he retired”). Active in Greater Cincinnati community theater, Steve won a plethora of awards over the 50+ years he was involved, including “Best Actor” for the 2014 Kentucky Theater Association state conference. Somewhere among his many treasured keepsakes is the plaque to prove it. He was also a Kentucky Colonel, the highest title of honor bestowed by the governor, given in recognition of outstanding service.
Steve was born January 15, 1952 in Covington, KY to the late Conrad Myers and Betty (nee: Maschinot) Myers.
Steve is survived by his dear (he would say “hot”) wife, Teresa (nee: Clough) Myers; super smart “Roll Tide” son, Blake Myers; brother, Doug (late Phyllis) Myers; sisters, Cindy (Jay) Schloemer; Denise (Jim) Mason; his beloved puppy dog, Nala (whom he claimed not to want but evidence of lavish spoiling says otherwise); and an expansive community of relatives and friends who will no doubt miss being cornered by him at the next party.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2–5 pm, with a remembrance and reflection of his life at 3pm Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the River’s Edge Event Center, 101 Riverboat Row, Newport, Kentucky 41071.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to your favorite community theater group or Trades NKY a nonprofit organization promoting opportunities in skilled trades for students K-12. 1010 Windsor Dr. Suite 202, Cold Spring, KY 41076 (www.tradesnky.com).
Dobbling, Muehlenkamp & Erschell Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. Online condolences can be given at www.dmefuneral.com.
