LUMAZE the popular Christmas Lights Festival will be coming to Cincinnati OH, November 26th,2021-December
30th 2021! This event will be held at Duke Energy and will feature Live Entertainment nightly!

LUMAZE ENTERTAINMENT is accepting SUBMISSIONS FOR THEATRICAL DIRECTOR. OPEN TO ALL Ethnicities/Genders/Gender-Identifying.

Show Dates: 11/26,11/27, 12/4, 12/11,12/18,12/24, 12/25, 12/29, 12/30.

The DIRECTOR can pick and choose which days they are available. MUST have understanding in the process of rehearsal, tech rehearsal and production. Ability to multi-task and look at the big picture of a production. Effective communication and professionalism. PAID POSITION.

The AUDITION will consist of COLD READINGS from the script. Some performers may be asked to stay and do a short MOVEMENT/DANCE combination. Please wear clothing that allows for a full range of movement at auditions. Tight-jeans, skirts, dresses and high-heeled shoes are not recommended.

SINGERS please prepare 1-MINUTE of an appropriate Broadway-style song that shows your personality and your ability to believably tell a story through song. An accompanist WILL not be provided. Recordings and Tracks will be permitted.

COMEDIANS please prepare a 1-MINUTE family friendly comedic monologue.

We are seeking excellent PERFORMERS (Age 15+) MALE and FEMALE comedic performers who dance and sing. We strongly encourage actors of all cultural backgrounds.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS

• MRS.CLAUS- Stage-age 50’s-60’s, any ethnicity. Female-Identifying. Quick-witted, Intelligent, Warm Hearted, Dolly- Parton type, Wise beyond her years. Legendary wife of Santa Claus.
• SUGAR PLUM MARY-Stage-age 15-40yrs, any ethnicity. Female-Identifying. Must have natural talent, charm and charisma. Positive and Upbeat. Strong Dancer. Ballet experience is a plus.
• SPARKLE- Stage-Age 15-40yrs, any ethnicity. Female-Identifying. Tom-Boy. Goodhearted and Quirky. She’s fun and has a winning personality. Britney Spears-Type.
• ALABASTER- Stage-Age 15-45yrs, any ethnicity. Male-Identifying. Santa’s second in Command. He is the HEAD elf, in charge of all Elves and their assignments. He is wise and inspirational leader that guides all of the Elves through the difficulties of their human world assignments. Strong Comedic Performer/ Mover. Ryan Seacrest- Type.
• (2) UNDERSTUDIES/SWINGS- Stage-Age 15-65 yrs old, any ethnicity. Any Gender.
• Seeking Two Performers to play RUDOLPH THE RED NOSE REINDEER AND PHOENIX THE POLAR BEAR MONSTER. Understudies will cover lead roles. Strong Movers. Must have good comedic timing. Puppetry skills a plus.
• VOICE OF SANTA- Stage-Age 18-65 yrs old, any ethnicity. Male-Identifying.
• Seeking a VOICE-ACTOR to portray the legendary VOICE of Santa Claus. You will NOT APPEAR on
  stage. Strong Baritone Deep Voice.

LUMAZE ENTERTAINMENT is seeking a choreographer to assist with movement and choreography for the Interactive Show GLOW AROUND THE WORLD. The Interactive show covers pop and broadway type Christmas songs. Dance and choreography back ground required. Experience in teaching Basic Modern, Ballet, Jazz is preferred.
