Accusations, mistaken identities, and romances run wild in this traditional, laugh-out-loud farce. Two nuns at the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing have been secretly making wine to keep the convent’s doors open, but Paul and Sally, reporters and former fiancées, are hot on their trail. They go undercover as a nun and priest, but their presence, combined with the addition of a new nun, spurs paranoia throughout the convent that spies have been sent from Rome to shut them down. Wine and secrets are inevitably spilled as everyone tries to preserve the convent and reconnect with lost loves.

The Passing of Linda Getz

From the Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre Facebook page:

GHCT_Linda GetzIN MEMORIAM

It is with a heavy heart that GHCT bids farewell to one of our long standing members, Linda Getz. Linda lost her courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, August 23, 2020.

Linda was an active member of Greater Hamilton Civic Theatre for over 35 years. She had served several terms on the GHCT Board of Directors and took on a variety of tasks including the organizing of the 25th Anniversary backstage reception after the opening night of A Thurber Carnival in 1983.
Linda made her stage debut in The Man Who Came to Dinner in 1982. It was a small part but just large enough for her to conclude that her talents were better used backstage. From that point on Linda became one of the finest and most sought after producers that GHCT ever had. Her work ethic, organizational skills and her ability to bring a professional shine to the productions made her a director’s dream. She took her work seriously but not so seriously that she didn’t enjoy the process. In fact, one of the things that most of us will remember about Linda is her infectious laugh. What a great memory that is.

So as we come to the end of our journey together we say thank you Linda for all you did to make us look good. You were one of the best.
