BLOODY BLOODY-printBLOODY BLOODY ANDREW JACKSON
Xavier University Theatre
Feb. 2-4
Gallagher Student Center Studio Theatre [Evanston]

Directed by Stephen Skiles
Choreographed by Annie Mayer

Cast: Josh Carandang as Andrew Jackson, Sara Ringenbach as Storyteller, Max Carlson as Male Soloist/Citizen/Phil, Dylan Van Camp as Calhoun/Andrew Sr., Annie Mayer as Red Eagle/University President, Steven Linder as John Quincy Adams/Cobbler/Messenger/Tour Guide/Florida Man, Michael Rowlett as Van Buren/Keokuk, Hyehyun Hwang as Lyncoya, Donald Burns as Clay/Black Fox, Amara Shroba as Ensemble/Toula, Gigi Relic as Rachel/Florida Woman, Christine Gallagher as Elizabeth/Erica, Christian Hall as Monroe, Ellie Conniff as Female Solist/Announcer/Naomi, Seth Mobley as Bandleader & Carly Mulert as Ensemble

With the country divided into rich and poor, Andrew Jackson begins his steady climb from a child on the wild frontier, to military strategist to populist rabble-rouser, and ultimately, to President of the United States. Along the way, he meets his wife, Rachel, takes on the Founding Fathers – and rocks like no political figure has ever rocked before. With a raucous blend of outrageous comedy, anarchic theatricality and an infectious rock score, this wildly entertaining 90-minute show asks the question: is wanting to have a beer with someone reason enough to elect him? What if he’s really, really hot? For mature audiences.

  • Fri, Feb. 2 at 7:30pm SOLD OUT
  • Sat, Feb. 3 at 2pm & 7:30pm
  • Sun, Feb. 4 at 2pm
    Limited availability for remaining performances.
