In a magical kingdom fathoms below, we meet Ariel, the little mermaid who is tired of flipping her fins and longs to be part of the fascinating world on dry land. Joining her are Sebastian, Ariel’s crabby sidekick; Ursula, the evil sea witch; Triton, King of the Sea and the handsome and human Prince Eric. Based on the Disney animated film and hit Broadway musical. Dive on in! Life is the bubbles, under the sea!

Auditions Announced for NEWSIES at Cincinnati Actor’s Studio & Academy

CASA_logoCincinnati Actor’s Studio & Academy (CASA) is thrilled to be the first educational theatre organization in the Cincinnati region to produce Disney/MTI’s NEWSIES this coming July 2018!

CASA will be holding auditions & information sessions this coming April for anyone interested in being part of this exciting production! YOU ONLY NEED TO ATTEND ONE OF THE LISTED DATES!

  • April 8 at 1-4pm
  • April 15 at 2-5pm

Please bring a headshot/resume and be prepared to move (movement clothing suggested). You may be asked to sing parts from the show as well. Also, bring your calendar for the entire summer, as you will be expected to turn in conflicts in writing at the audition.

Age Requirements: 7th grade and above
*If under 18, a parent or guardian must attend the information session as well*

If you are currently a college student and out of town during the listed dates, please email us with your interest as well as headshot/resume. You may be asked to send us a song, but we will let you know if needed.

Rehearsals will begin on Sundays in May, with the production going up July 27-29th/August 3-5th.

Walt, a gentle-natured leader of a Christian retreat, has devoted decades of his life to “curing” gay teens of their homosexuality. Packing up his life and preparing for a reluctant retirement, Walt is pressured into accepting one last client. When that client disappears into the Idaho wilderness, Walt is forced to examine the possibility that he has been deceiving himself and others for the bulk of his life. The story navigates complex moral terrain and explores the inconstant strength of personal convictions.

Better known as “Gaslight”, this West End and Broadway hit, adapted into an Academy Award winning film in 1944 starring Ingrid Bergman and Angela Lansbury, focuses on the Manninghams who live on Angel Street in 19th century London. While everything begins with Victorian tranquility, it becomes apparent the suavely handsome Mr. Manningham is slowly driving his devoted wife Bella to the brink of insanity with a cunning kindness that masks sinister motives. While he is out, Mrs. Manningham has an unexpected caller: Inspector Rough from Scotland Yard who is convinced her husband is a homicidal maniac who committed murder 15 years ago in the same house. Don’t miss this classic psychological thriller!
