A musical based on the 1953 novel 7½ Cents that deals with labor troubles in a pajama factory, where workers’ demands for a seven-and-a-half cent raise are going unheeded. In the midst of this ordeal, love blossoms between Babe, the grievance committee head, and Sid, the new factory superintendent.

SISTER ACT is the feel-good musical comedy smash based on the hit 1992 film that has audiences jumping to their feet! Featuring original music by Tony-and eight-time Oscar winner, Alan Menken (Newsies, Beauty and the Beast, Little Shop of Horrors), this uplifting musical was nominated for five Tony Awards, including Best Musical. When disco diva, Deloris Van Cartier, witnesses a murder, she is put in protective custody in the one place the cops are sure she won’t be a found: a convent! Disguised as a nun, she finds herself at odds with both the rigid lifestyle and uptight Mother Superior. Using her unique disco moves and singing talent to inspire the choir, Deloris breathes new life into the church and community but in doing so, blows her cover. Soon, the gang is giving chase, only to find them up against Deloris and the power of her newly found sisterhood.

It is December 1936 and Broadway star William Gillette, admired the world over for his leading role in the play Sherlock Holmes, has invited his fellow cast-members to his Connecticut castle for a weekend of revelry. But when one of the guests is stabbed to death, the festivities in this isolated house of tricks and mirrors quickly turn dangerous. Then it’s up to Gillette himself, as he assumes the persona of his beloved Holmes, to track down the killer before the next victim appears. The danger and hilarity are non-stop in this glittering whodunit set during the Christmas holidays.

Julia Dowling has an unexpected visitor who intends to escort her off to the afterlife.  Infusing comedy into the classic Death Takes a Holiday, The Christmas Spirit is set in contemporary Long Island.  Julia persuades Death to give her one more day to enjoy Christmas and invites him to be her guest at a festive party.  The next day the house fills with bickering relatives, friends, the local priest – and Death, masquerading as a human, singing carols and drinking egg nog.  Moments of high farce, drama and even romance arise as bright holiday fantasies collide with a not-so-merry reality.  Winner of the 2002 Florida Repertory Theatre Congress of Jewelers Play Series.

With a little bit of pixie dust and a lot of faith, Barrie takes this monumental leap, leaving his old world behind for Neverland where nothing is impossible and the wonder of childhood lasts forever.
