2015-2016 Season Announced by Thomas More College

They will also be holding a Shakespeare Competition for high school performers. Application deadline is Oct. 31. Competition takes place on Jan. 23, 2016.

In the middle of a howling snowstorm, a bus out of Kansas City pulls up at a cheerful roadside diner. What follows is a warm-hearted comedy, with some dramatic moments, that focuses on the love story between Cherie, the nightclub chanteuse, and Bo, the cowboy determined to pursue her. As a counterpoint to the main romance, the proprietor of the cafe, Grace, and the bus driver, Carl, at last find time to develop a friendship of their own.

It is the height of prohibition and young Nick Carraway has taken up residence in Long Island’s “West Egg,” home to the nouveau riche. But as Gatsby’s secretive past is uncovered and his intentions revealed, Nick finds himself a pawn in a love triangle so scandalous, it threatens to destroy all those around him.
