TAKING MY TURN is the award-winning, critically acclaimed musical by the same team that collaborated on the hit show The Me Nobody Knows. One of the first musicals to deal with aging, the spoken words (book by Robert H. Livingston) were collected from interviews with people “in their prime,” representing stories, poems, remembrances, reflections and even complaints. The score (Lyrics by Will Holt, Music by Gary William Friedman) includes songs from a variety of inspirations: Broadway, classical, waltzes, ballads, jazz and gospel. The result is fresh, a little feisty, full of poignancy and of humor.
