GHCT Announcs Auditions for THE SOUND OF MUSIC

Auditions will be held at:

Hamilton, Ohio 45011

The role of the Mother Abbess has been pre-cast. It will be played by Bess-Arlene Camacho. All other roles are available.
The roles of the younger children (Friedrich, Louisa, Brigitta, Kurt, Marta & Gretl) will be double cast to create two casts of children.
Children and Adults should prepare one song in a Musical Theatre style. Singing a song from the show is acceptable. There are several supporting roles which will not require a vocal audition.
Piano accompaniment as well as CD playback will be available for the auditions.
Please bring a complete list of conflict dates from mid-September through early December.
The production will begin rehearsals the week of September 8^th.
There will be no rehearsals the week of September 15^th through September 21^st. Rehearsals will resume the week of September 22^nd.
We will rehearse 3 nights per-week, September through October. We will rehearse 4 nights per-week in November. There will be no rehearsals on November 26, 27, 28, 29.
The specific days of the week we rehearse will be determined after the show is cast.
The show will be performed at Parrish Auditorium on the Hamilton Campus of Miami University on December 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7.

Tickets to ETC’s 2014-2015 Season On Sale Aug. 4

TICKETS TO ENSEMBLE THEATRE CINCINNATI’S 2014-2015 SEASON
GO ON SALE MONDAY, AUGUST 4 AT 10AM

(Cincinnati, OH) All single tickets to Ensemble Theatre Cincinnati’s exciting 2014-2015 Season go on sale Monday, August 4 at 10:00 am. Subscriptions are still available and come in a variety of packages, including the newly added Tuesday preview subscription option.

Highlights for the season include:

The unique new musical Hands on a Hardbody, featuring a brilliant score from Amanda Green and Trey Anastasio (front man for the band Phish), along with a masterful story by Pulitzer Prize winner Doug Wright (I Am My Own Wife, Grey Gardens). 15 cast members share the stage with a hardbody truck as they compete in an endurance/sleep deprivation contest in order to win it.
The regional premiere of An Iliad, a modern and breathtakingly relevant retelling of the classic, featuring acclaimed actor Bruce Cromer who will embody the Greek classic’s famous characters from Achilles and Hector to Agamemnon—even the beautiful Helen of Troy—as he shares the stage with only a cellist.
Outside Mullingar, the new romantic comedy from Pulitzer-, Oscar-, and Tony Award-winner John Patrick Shanley, writer of Doubt and Moonstruck. ETC welcomes back Director Ed Stern along with veteran actors Dale Hodges and Joneal Joplin in this regional premiere.

Performance Information
Performances run Tuesday through Sunday. Tuesday-Thursday, 7:30 pm; Friday and Saturday, 8:00 pm; Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 pm; and Sunday, 7:00 pm. Sleeping Beauty holiday schedule varies. A complete calendar of performances is available online at http://www.ensemblecincinnati.org.

Ticket Prices
Ticket prices range from $28 to $44 for adults; student tickets are $25; and children are $18. For the 2014-2015 season, ETC will also continue its popular $15 student and half-price rush tickets for all performances, which are available two hours prior to show time and may be purchased by phone or in person at the box office.

Auditions for Hartzell Church’s GLORY OF THE KING

We are looking for singers, child and adult actors, crew members, makeup, etc…

Auditions will be held at HARTZELL UNITED METHODIST CHURCH on the following dates : July 23, 24, 25 from 6:00 – 8:00, July 26 noon – 3:00. Additional Dates: 30 and 31 from 6 – 8:00

Please bring a song and short monologue, a pianist will be provided.
