The Carnegie Announces Auditions for CHICAGO

Open Call Auditions
SATURDAY, APRIL 27 | 11AM – 3PM 

Auditions held at Northern Kentucky University
FINE ARTS BUILDING | Rooms 220 & 221

Actors should prepare 32 bars of one (1) musical theatre selection in the style of the show. Some actors may be asked to learn and perform a dance combination, and/or do a cold reading.

An accompanist will be provided. Please bring sheet music in the correct key. A cappella auditions, or those with pre-recorded accompaniment, will not be considered. Please provide four (4) copies of your résumé and at least one (1) headshot. Please bring appropriate attire for a dance combination.

CHICAGO is a professional production, opening The Carnegie’s 2013-14 Theatre Series. All performers will be compensated. AEA actors may be considered under a Guest Artist Contract.

LCT Call for Panelists

LCT_VThe League of Cincinnati Theatres is now accepting applications for panelists for the 2013-2014 Cincinnati Theatre Season.

Panelists attend Cincinnati’s professional and college theatre productions, and nominate the “best of the best” for the LCT Awards, presented in May.

“Our panelists are a dedicated group of theatre lovers,” says LCT President Cathy Springfield. “They panel shows and seek out a lot of other theatre experiences. There is so much good theatre here in the greater Cincinnati area, and so many talented artists and performers, it is LCT’s mission is to nurture and celebrate outstanding work.”

Panelists are theatre professionals, practitioners, academics, and dedicated theatre go-ers. The application and more information is available on the LCT website at www. leagueofcincytheatres.info until April 20.

The League of Cincinnati Theatres was founded in 1999 to strengthen, nurture and promote Cincinnati’s theatre community. LCT provides its member companies and individual members with education, resources and services to enhance the quality and exposure of the theatre community in Cincinnati and increase community awareness, attendance and involvement. This musical begins with Michael and Agnes on their wedding day and traces their life together over a period of 50 years until the day they leave their house to the next pair of newlyweds. In that time we watch them through their wedding night jitters, raising a family, negotiating mid-life crises, quarreling, separating, reconciling and growing old together, all lovingly to the strains of a tuneful, charming score which includes the standard “My Cup Runneth Over.”
