Know Theatre presents THE APOCALYPSE SHOW!

Join us to celebrate the end of days with the variety show to end all variety shows

KTC_The Apocalypse ShowThe world is coming to an end. The sky will catch fire, the rivers will rise, and the ground will shake! Where will you be when it all comes crashing down? Instead of roaming the streets creating havoc, eating all of your Twinkies, running for the hills, crying with your cat, or cowering in your basements, why not spend your last forsaken moment with your friends at Know Theatre? No one is really sure the exact moment, method, or duration of our path to judgment day, but one thing is for sure, Know Theatre will tell you what to expect when you are expecting…the end of the world.

On December 20 and 21, 2012 at 9pm, join Know Theatre to celebrate the end of days with a performance so big, so loud, so funny, and so righteous, that it might just bring about the end of days. Our house band, The Rapture Brothers will provide the righteous tunes, our cast of the chosen few will provide the laughs to ease your pain, and don’t worry, the bar will be open. Your money’s no good after the river of molten metal swings through Cincinnati, so be sure to bring it all with you.

THE APOCALYPSE SHOW! is directed by Know Theatre’s Producing Artistic Director Eric Vosmeier, and has been created, scene by scene, and song by song, by your end of the world creative team; Chris Wesselman, Eric Vosmeier, Steve Schofield, Annie Kalahurka, and Harper Lee. THE APOCALYPSE SHOW! incorporates sketch comedy, our live band The Rapture Brothers, predictions, secrets revealed, gratuitous drinking, and answers to all of your apocalypse FAQ’s.

What happens if the world doesn’t end? On Saturday December 22 from 1-3pm, if all doesn’t go according to plan, join us at Know Theatre for The Apocalypse Show Potluck! Bring your favorite post-apocalyptic dish to share and we’ll celebrate the Mayan’s lack of foresight. Hopefully we won’t see you there!

THE APOCALYPSE SHOW! cast of the chosen few is comprised of several familiar faces from Know Theatre past productions and one first timer! Lauren Bailey is appearing at Know Theatre for the first time. Lauren is the Artistic Coordinator at the Cincinnati Opera and has appeared on stage with the Falcon Theatre locally. Randy Lee Bailey has performed with Know Theatre in Abraham Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party and was an understudy in Collapse last season. Matt Hill, a current musical theatre major at the College-Conservatory of Music (CCM) recently appeared in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at Know Theatre. Annie Kalahurka, has recently appeared at Know Theatre in Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, Abraham Lincoln’s Big Gay Dance Party, The Dragon, and Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Derek Snow, a member of longest Cincinnati Fringe participant Performance Gallery, last performed with Know Theatre in Top Dog/Underdog in 2007. Chris Wesselman, currently the Associate Producer for the Cincinnati Fringe Festival, has recently been seen in The Naughty List, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson, A Wrinkle in Time, Adding Machine: A Musical, Sideways Stories from Wayside School, and Vigils.
