UTC Announces Cast for SAVAGE IN LIMBO

Untethered Theatre Company has announced the cast for their upcoming production of SAVAGE IN LIMBO, directed by Kevin Crowley

The cast includes:

Interactive murder mystery. Reality show guru Seymour Spectre, host of “Chance of a Ghost” has found another potentially haunted location to expoit – Maggiano’s Little Italy. He has gathered together six of the top paranormal specialists in the country to investigate. Paranormal Professer Paul de Geist, Occult Folklore Specialist Constance Spelling, Psychic to the Stars Claire Voyante, New-age Psychic Christolbol, haunting survivor Amity Ville and Techno-geek Ghostchaser Cam Korder all set out to prove that Maggiano’s is haunted. Unfortunately, Seymour’s guests are about to be exposed as frauds when his ex-wife Dee Bunker arrives to shoot holes in their theories and their reputations. But one of the guests is more upset than the others when Dee arrives and might be capable of… murder! Admission includes dinner, one glass of wine, show, staffing fee and sales tax.

It’s Christmas time and local radio personalities Thurston Wheelis and Arles Struvie tell us all about the annual Christmas lawn display contest that Viola Carp keeps winning (14 times), the troubled local production of A Christmas Carol and along the way introduce us to a host of colorful characters, each one funnier than the last, in this little mythical Texas town. Two actors portray more than twenty roles in this hilarious production. Ages 7 and up.

Cincinnati Children’s Theatre SEUSSICAL, JR Earns Two LCT Nominations

Panelists for the League of Cincinnati Theatres (LCT) have recognized The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati’s production of SEUSSICAL, JR. with an two LCT nominations for Costumes (Kathie Brookfield & Roderick Justice) and scenic design (David Centers) as well as distinguishing it as a recommended production.

This fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza features favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including: Horton the Elephant, The Cat in the Hat, Lazy Mayzie, and all of the Whos of Whoville! Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty have lovingly brought to life these classic, colorful tales, brought together by Jojo, a young boy and “thinker of strange and wonderful thinks!”

Panelists loved the “fun and whimsical” costume design as well as the “colorful and quirky” set design which “flowed seamlessly” through the many environments called for by the musical. Overall, SEUSSICAL, JR. was a “fast-paced musical romp: “The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati starts their 2012/2013 magical season with enough energy and polish to make even Horton the Elephant blush.”

Final LCT awards will be determined at the end of the season and announced at the LCT gala in the spring.
