Three unlikely friends take control of their office and learn there is nothing they can’t do, even in a man’s world. 9 To 5 The Musical, is set in the late 1970s this hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the Rolodex era is outrageous, thought-provoking, and even a little romantic. Pushed to the boiling point, three female co-workers concoct a plan to get even with the sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot they call their boss. In a hilarious turn of events, Violet, Judy and Doralee live out their wildest fantasy – giving their boss the boot! While Hart remains “otherwise engaged,” the women give their workplace a dream makeover, taking control of the company that had always kept them down. Hey, a girl can scheme, can’t she?

NO, NO, NANETTE is a lighthearted romp showcasing the charming music of Vincent Youmans. The wacky story involves three couples sharing a cottage in Atlantic City in the midst of a blackmail scheme, with plenty of deception, romantic mishaps, and comical misunderstandings. The score includes two of the best-known songs in musical theatre – “Tea for Two” and “I Want to Be Happy” – as well as “I’ve Confessed To The Breeze,” “You Can Dance With Any Girl” and “Take a Little One-Step.”

THE WORLD PREMIERE (SORT OF) of the so-called happy-ending King Lear by William Shakespeare as adapted by Nahum Tate and featuring the treachery of Lear’s two daughters, Goneril and Regan, the Bastard Edmund and the feigned madness of Edgar, the abduction of Cordelia on the Heath by ruffians, the great storm, and other contrivances, and fill with music by a company of actors led by the honorable and respected Sir Thomas Betterton in preparation of our great and revered King Charles II at the Dukes Theatre, London, 1681!

Training Opportunity/Fringe Audition

MISC_Casting callDr KJ Melson, Visiting Asst Professor of Acting at Wright State University, will be holding FREE workshops every Saturday from 1-5pm in the Creative Arts Center, WSU Campus, room 109.

We will be training in psycho-physical training forms As well as Improv/ mask work/ creative devising With the intention of creating material to be incorporated into
An ORIGINAL piece of theatre for an unnamed Fringe Festival in June.

Auditions will be in the same location on April 2nd at 1pm.
