Auditions Announced for COLLECTED STORIES at Village Players

Audition Dates/Times:

  • 2 PM Sunday, July 9th
  • 7 PM Monday, July 10th

Location: 8 N. Ft. Thomas Ave., Ft. Thomas, KY 41075

Performance Dates: September 29, 30; October 1, 5, 6 & 7 (2017)

Synopsis
Six years in the lives of two intensely creative people— Prof. Ruth Steiner and Ruth’s most devoted disciple, Lisa Morrison—are chronicled in this award-winning play. Hoping to become a writer herself, Lisa latches on to Ruth for consul, advice, and moral support. The trouble begins when Lisa gets into print and her reputation begins to surpass that of her mentor.

Characters

  • Ruth Steiner – 55-65 (stage age)
  • Lisa Morrison – 25-35 (stage age)

Rehearsals will be determined by availability of cast. Please bring conflicts starting August 1st. Resumes and head shots are appreciated but not required.

SEVEN DEADLY SINS @ The Village Players of Fort Thomas

[Fort Thomas, Kentucky] – Village Players of Fort Thomas presents an original theatrical production written by local playwrights, SEVEN DEADLY SINS by Tammy Brady, Teri Foltz, A.K. Forbes, Kenneth Klem, Will Lindsey, and Judy Sceifres. Performances for this production will be Jun. 30th (Fri.), Jul. 1st (Sat.) @ 8:00 PM and July 2nd (Sun.) @ 3:00PM.

These shorts, about the seven deadly sins, show what it means to be human. These seven vicarious sins weave their web in and out of humanity; and it is how this ensemble cast confronts these realities of life that will take you on a journey of discovery. The cast Heather Abbott, Dennis Blom, Erica Brady, Meredith Conner, Angela Klocke Forbes, Nathan Henegar, Dan Maloney, Teresa Myers, Chris Payne, and Meredith Strayhorn. This production is directed by Kenneth Klem.

Village Players began in 1966 when members of the Fort Thomas Woman’s Club formed a community theatre department and renovated the lower level of the building to house a unique and intimate 102-seat three-quarter thrust stage. Village Players is a member of KTA, OCTA, ACT-Cincinnati and AACT. Located at 8 North Fort Thomas Avenue, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, Village Players mounts four productions each year and donates the proceeds of its spring production to charity. Not only does she break up the cynical romances that have been going on before she arrived, but she loses her own heart as well.
